Günter, his family, Edwin and their colleagues nearly have a fit as the newspaper prints a wanted still from a security video featuring their faces as antiquities shop thieves. Neither Günter nor Edwin has a solid alibi , so incredulous theft section commissioner Ennoch must consider them prime suspects, while chief Plocher insists on discretion until the case is properly solved, and the culprit strikes again, while neither has an alibi. Son in law Hanno stands by them at precinct interviews, but the real thieves are an ingenious vindictive pack from a far from obvious past which keeps setting them up cunningly.
