Excellent twenty-two minute interview with writer-producer Barry Sandler who talks about his early career but the main focus is on the 1984 sexual thriller CRIMES OF PASSION. Sandler starts off talking about what got him into the business and how his first break came by going to a famous actresses' house. From here he talks about the directors that any screenwriter would respect and of course that leads to Ken Russell. From here we get into the production of CRIMES OF PASSION, what he expected from the director as well as the casting of the three leads. We get some wonderful stories about how Sandler introduced Russell to American actresses by watching movies and we get some great stories dealing with the casting of Perkins and what he wanted changed in the screenplay. Fans of CRIMES OF PASSION will certainly enjoy this piece as it contains some great and very entertaining stories.
