An unlikely partnership was formed during the third episode of Ted Lasso Season 3, when Roy Kent offered to train “pre-Madonna” Jamie Tartt to be an even better footballer than AFC Richmond’s newest recruit, Zava.
But before fans get a glimpse of their training sessions in Episode 4 (streaming Wednesday, April 5), we wanted to know what portrayers Brett Goldstein and Phil Dunster thought about this new arrangement — specifically, who these sessions will benefit more. Whereas Jamie’s need here is quite transparent, Roy’s motivations are less obvious. Is he just being a good coach? A good friend? Or is...

Ted Lasso‘s titular coach suffers a devastating personal blow in Wednesday’s episode. When he calls home to Kansas to wish his son Henry good luck ahead of his soccer game, he finds out that ex-wife Michelle has moved on with their former marriage counselor, Dr. Jacob.
Initially, Ted doesn’t know how to process his feelings, which results in a panic attack out on the pitch. We eventually see him work through some of his resentment with Dr. Fieldstone, but the relationship clearly rubs him the wrong way — and for good reason. As you’ll recall, Ted in...

A trip to Deborah’s psychic throws Rebecca off her axis during Wednesday’s Ted Lasso.
Alleged clairvoyant Tish initially has three visions about Rebecca’s future: The first involves a green matchbook; the second is a “shite in nining armor,” presumably a knight in shining armor; and the third involves thunder, lightning and an upside-down (and drenched) Rebecca.

This week it was announced that Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (“Eyes of Tammy Faye”) will headline an upcoming limited series at Apple TV+. Details of the story are being closely guarded, other than that it will be called “The Savant” and is based on a Cosmopolitan article. While the official announcement didn’t confirm it, the series is likely based on Andrea Stanley’s 2019 article “Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?” Stanley — who is a consultant on the show — detailed the work of a woman known as “The Savant” who investigates violent men in hopes of preventing major attacks and mass shootings from occurring. No timetable has been announced for the series.

When Robert Kahn and Vinton Cerf developed a “communication model” that would pave the way to the internet, I doubt online hate groups were a part of the dream. Unfortunately, anonymity and the creation of forums where people can foster deplorable behavior exist. What if someone were to infiltrate them? Can you dismantle this egregious behavior one corner of the dark web at a time? Jessica Chastain‘s character in The Savant is going to try. That’s right, haters. After playing country music star Tammy Wynette in George & Tammy, Chastain will star in The Savant, a new limited series for Apple.

Earlier this year, folks were obsessed over the Apple TV+ ads featuring Timothee Chalamet, which basically feature the actor lamenting over the fact that nearly every A-list actor has a project in the works for the streamer except him. Well, poor Timmy isn’t going to be happy to learn that Jessica Chastain is the latest to get an Apple TV+ project.

Jessica Chastain is a savant of acting, and now she’s getting a whole limited series to prove it. The “Eyes of Tammy Faye” Oscar winner and current star of “A Doll’s House” on Broadway will star in “The Savant,” a new limited series ordered by Apple TV+.
No other cast members outside of Chastain have been announced, and Apple TV+ states the storyline and character details are being kept under wraps. However, the show is inspired by a feature published in Cosmopolitan, with the original writer Andrea Stanley serving as a consultant.
Apple did not specify what article from Stanley the show is based on, but judging from the title, it’s almost certainly “They Call Her The Savant,” a 2019 profile of an anonymous woman who infiltrates online hate groups in order to track and prevent potential mass shootings.

The Oscar-winning The Eyes of Tammy Faye actress will star in The Savant, an eight-episode limited series based on a true story published by Cosmopolitan.
While Apple is remaining mum on details, Andrea Stanley — who is attached as a consultant on the Chastain show — penned a Cosmo story in August 2019 under the headline “Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?” that detailed a woman known as “The Savant,” an investigator whose job is to take down the country’s most violent men before they can carry out large-scale attacks.
