- Two best friends stuck in boring jobs become bachelor-party planners in Budapest.
- Vincent (Manu Payet) and Arnaud (Jonathan Cohen) are two best friends who once studied at the largest French business school. But today, they are very unhappy at their respective workplaces: Vincent works for a multinational corporation (with an insulting boss Tristan) where he has no recognition (he is married to Cecile (Alice Belaidi)), while Arnaud flounders at a firm run by his wife's Audrey (Alix Poisson) father. Audrey keeps Arnaud under a tight leash. Both feel under-appreciated even after busting their ass for 10 yrs post an MBA. Life was supposed to be good by now. Tristan keeps calling them the "Scholarship kids", indicating that they will never be truly rich in life,
During their friend's bachelor party, they meet a stripper at a cheap strip joint (after being thrown out of the most happening place in town for not having a reservation, even though Vincent had called and confirmed). The latter tells them about her Hungarian hometown of Budapest, its nightlife, and its countless beautiful women. Lamenting over how their bachelor party should have been held there instead, Arnaud then comes up with the idea of creating a travel agency in partnership with Vincent that would organize getaway trips for French bachelor parties in Budapest: a city filled with oversized nightclubs where alcohol flows freely.
Arnaud does the numbers. The cost per person is 280 Euros and they will price the service at 400 euros. 120 euros per person profit. One party of 10 people. 250,000 weddings in France each yr, 1% is 2500 parties. Profit potential of 3 MM euros per year. Cecile is supportive of Vincent, but Audrey is a ball buster and Arnaud lies to her that he is going for a business meeting on Eurostar. Arnaud tells a story of how Audrey was talking dirty to him, and he made her jerk him off, while watching photos of their high school hottie Marie Darmuzet, who is supposed to be very fat now.
Vincent and Arnaud subsequently resign from their respective jobs and embark on this unprecedented adventure of starting up their new business venture, "Crazy Trips". They count on the help of Georgio (Monsieur Poulpe), an expatriate in Budapest who will help them discover the debauchery laden secrets of this city. Georgio sends a hooker (Suzanna, who is also Georgio's wife) to Vincent's room, dressed as a chambermaid to give him a blow job, but Vincent refuses. Massages cost 10 euros. There is no mafia to pay. Traian is the most exclusive club in Budapest. They are given liquid ecstasy, and they trip out. Audrey calls and wants a photo of him in London. They fake a photo with an English looking person and a blurred background.
They look for uniquely Hungarian experiences and find that they can drive a Soviet tank and shoot cannons. They realize that there are private shooting ranges (one owned by a deranged man named Gabor) in Budapest with all sorts of automatic weapons. They return to Paris, convinced that they have a business that can work. Arnaud tells Audrey that he wants to quit his job to go into business full time, but she is not supportive at all. She does invest 100,000 euros in the business when Arnaud makes an impassioned plea about letting him fly.
After a difficult start, the "Crazy Trips" business grows. They get a European travel agency license. They launch a website and get their first customer within 24 hrs. Their first group is a bunch of delinquents who drive the tank over Gabor's car and the duo have to pay 15,000 euros for it. After the stag party, Georgio takes them for an after party, which ends up all over the morning news. It takes another 20,000 euros to avoid an expensive lawsuit against Crazy trips.
Vincent wants to quit, but Arnaud offers to buy him out, which Vincent sees as betrayal after 20 yrs of friendship. But due to the negative publicity on news, they have 93 requests. They realize that Suzanna was a Mossad agent before and they decide to put one like her in each group, to keep them in line. They open an office and hire staff to handle the events.
More and more clients are coming to Budapest where their experiences expand into evenings drunk off of Palinka while dancing with strippers, driving tanks or shooting AK-47s at a shooting range. They introduce new events like strip basketball, hot air ballooning with chicks, being chased by dogs, smashing cars with baseball bats, and so on. But all this takes a toll on Vincent and Arnaud's lives. They make repeated trips back and forth between Paris and Budapest and put their fraternal friendship as well as their marriages to the test. On their 100th stag party, Georgio takes the duo for a night out on town and Vincent ends up kissing a singer at Triana. The video is posted by Georgio on their website, where Cecile sees it.
Cecile kicks Vincent out of her house and he spends the night with Arnaud and Audrey. Audrey kicks them both out as she believes Arnaud also had sex with someone. Audrey demands her 100,000 euros back and the guys have 15 days to pay her back. The guys have enough to pay her off, but Arnaud moves to Budapest and when Vincent writes Audrey a check, she asks to convert her investment to shares, becoming the largest shareholder in the company. Audrey and Cecile join the company as the bosses (Audrey gives some stock to Cecile). Audrey and Cecile travel to Budapest to take over operations.
Thats when one of the clients gets high on drugs and threatens to commit suicide by jumping off a roof, because he thinks his fiance nags him too much. Vincent rushes to the roof while Audrey tries to explain that his fiance cares for him. Vincent and Cecile save the groom after making him talk to his fiance (who tells him to jump as he admits to eating gluten when she is away).
Cecile and Vincent reconcile. So do Audrey and Arnaud. This was their 199th event. They change the focus of their company to see the guys happily married at the end. But at their 200th event, the groom barfs on the bride at the chapel, and the duo has to run off again. Cecile and Audrey reorient the company to organizing crazy hens parties for brides.
