Actually a surprisingly decent amateur low budget indie film
Top_Dawg_Critic15 July 2020
Yes, this film was flawed, but it was flawed in the right places. Considering it was amateur writer Andrew Costello first ever writing credit, and Marc Martinez's first full length film (only 1-2 previous short films), it was put together impressively well for newb filmmakers. Martinez as director, cinematographer, editor, and producer certainly has room for improvement, but as a new filmmaker, I saw this film through to the end, and was pleased with some fun and cheesy twists. The 86 min runtime flew by, even though the pacing could've been a little faster, and some scenes not dragged out as much. The camera work was on point, and the score surprising fitting, and not your typical overbearing and annoying score found in almost all B-grade films. Even the soundtrack was decent. I did find the sound off towards the beginning (boom mics too high maybe), but improved as the film progressed. The acting was surprising convincing, and the two novice actresses Stefanie Rons and especially Erin Siu - who I felt stole the show, gave it their all. Now some may think the screenplay and dialogue may have been poorly written, but the fact these were your typical teens that make bad choices and stupid mistakes, the story was actually quite believable, thus my "flawed in the right places". I'm sure many will rate this one low, but take into consideration this was put together by new filmmakers, and I've seen more garbage out there from more seasoned filmmakers and actors e.g. Bruce Willis' "Survive the Night" (2020). For me, this film is deserving of my 7/10. To see more of my 1000+ ratings and 900+ reviews, click on my username, and you can also see my checklist for reviewing films the right way and fairly.

Very well directed and acted. The movie was very original and kept us on the edge of our seats. Lots of twists and turns.
