The loyalty test episode.

They're two groups, one who think the characters are paper thin and it's all style over substance and If you felt that way coming into the season 2 opener, those feelings would be reaffirmed.

BUT

If you belong to the other group that just loves this show for various reasons mainly that it's like a new genre and people can argue that Twin peeks did this but I would disagree being that I didnt like twin peeks. This episode set the bar even higher and theres a straight forward concept of this episode but it's designed with outstanding film directing, editing, visuals, music, etc.

People feel its wierd and I totally understand that and feel like this is a series where you arent hand held the whole time. It's very cerebral but it's not a smart persons show it's just a certain way of storytelling that intrigues me like crazy!!!

I loved the dance scene personally and actually got The OA vibe but it was just exhilarating.

Syd telling him with one arm from the future that he has to find shadow king find a new body makes it exciting because that means the possibility of more Lenny!!! The way they communicated was just superb and intriguing.

I am lost most moments too but it makes me pay extra attention and engage in this show more.

John Hamm narrating it was just perfect and I read a review that provided excellent feedback about the man that cuts his leg off!

I'll be honest, I am a story teller and crave a great story. I love series that captures a brilliant plot and executes it. So, I put off watching this series until June 1st 2018!!! The last thing I expected was to like this series, especially because twin peeks was mentioned. Season 1 upon bingeing was fantastic compared to my first attempt watching it weekly.

This is a show I feel you need to binge rather than watch weekly. It's even making me reconsider watching the newest season of twin peeks now and made me believe in it if I actually love this show so much. I get it and it gets me. You just have to have an open mind. If you're confused just read a review or a recap and it will proof read your thoughts.

This is legion and either you love it for the risks it takes that no show does today, or just play on the phone while a TV show is on. This series requires you to pay attention to it

heres hoping that it stays at this level of quality!

A dance-off psychological thriller, literally
amrashrafadel4 April 2018
And Legion is back everybody, with more missing pieces of the puzzle and more psychological references that make you don't know if it is real or is the Shadow King playing tricks on you. Keeps you entertained and confused, in thirst for more.

A lesson in taking creative risks (the definition of being original)
asemashraf0928 April 2018
It's very challenging for a show like Legion to maintain let alone exceed the creative success of its 1st season.

From the get-go I was mesmerized by Legion's original visual & sound storytelling technique they crafted in the 1st season so I couldn't wait for the follow up (with careful high hopes) then I watched the 1st episode of season 2 and they did not disappoint at all.

The season's setup episode surpassed any high expectations I had, by tinkering with the same risky formula they've established in season 1, the show sets the bar even higher and teaches lessons in taking creative risks within a tight fourlma that still delivers a great story. A unique mixer of visuals and sound I can't find anywhere else, looking forward for more episodes and thank you to everyone behind this project.

Sublime

Season 2 Episode 1 sets the bar very high, being on par with the best offered in season 1 (the brilliant episode 7). As then, it's a masterful combination of visual artistry and mesmerizing music/sound design that does it. The nightclub scene is so gorgeous you have to watch it at least twice. Going to be a hard act to follow, but a fantastic way to kick off this new season. Very auspicious start.

Amazingly complex AGAIN

Warning: Spoilers
After being amazed at s1 I had waited expectantly for s2. I had told people to watch this but had warned its not your run of the mill comic book adaptation good fights bad like other straightforward TV and films. You need a brain to decipher this. If you want comedy and action in superhero shows watch legends of tomorrow or shield which I also enjoy. Hawley explains basically about mental health issues and how this can effect everyone. The guy who cuts of his leg. And says if this affects a non mutant then see how it multiplies in a person like David haller. The end result is that allies are changed from one to another and that David must conceal he will need to help from the shadow King to reunite with his physical self. All the rest is smoke and mirrors in a sense with explanation of the strange and unusual

Anyone pretending to understand this series is a liar.

It is *so bizarre*, a train wreck, but you can't look away.

Yes, I'll keep watching, but if it gets cancelled, I won't miss it.

Good but...

Man this is a really great show except for the pointless song and dance routines they force on us. What is this Cop Rock all over for a new generation? They are so silly. Really takes away from the rest of the show which is amazing. Im glad Noah didn't do them in Fargo lol.

Trying too hard or not enough
thebig-e-019049 April 2018
Firstly, many episodes in season 1, especially the pilot, were ground breaking TV. Was so excited for season 2. But this first episode was a bit of a let down. Very little story progression, a cartoon about Zhuangzi and his butterfly, already referenced last fall in Netflix's Dark, why are we seeing it here too?, a lame dance off that I felt embarrassed for the actors to have to perform, and then a flashback to David in the orb talking to a future Syd. Not sure who but someone got lazy, and produced a boring start to S2. Guessing it will pick up. But the high fan boy reviews, sry, not buying it. Wasn't horrible, just not on par at any level with S1.

I'm done
semaj-9533920 April 2018
My son and I enjoyed the first season albeit it was still a mind bender, we struggled with this episode, it reminded me of the old UK TV show The Prisoner, which my father I would watch. I'm sorry but it's just too much this time round, surreal and makes no sense, I think they're trying to be different and break from the normal Xmen type formula but majority of people are going to struggle as I did. It's far from an easy watch in fact the only easy thing about it is letting it go. What I did like though is the cafeteria with the little boats bringing the food around and that's it.

Plus it's funny when writing this review " Does your review contain spoilers " ha, I'd need to know what the hell is going on first to spoil it
