Some great moments... slow pace

The scene as the goddesses walk through the armies and bless their warriors was an awesome scene. The episode as a whole continues with the slow pace and lack of music/audio leaving long spells of dialogue.

Not great if you have OCD

100% its only me, that hates the flow and editing style of Troy. Plus invalid bet since they didn't show the conclusion of cliffhanger from Ep 1 in Ep 2. Cam didn't show what was in the box. We just guess what happen. I hate the fact people say if you like Game of Thrones you will like Troy. Awww No, I live for Game of thrones, meaning I hope I dont die before the last season.

Warning: Spoilers
I chosen this serie to see exactly for the bad reviews and hard critics. Deserved, off course. But, hunting the good details, at level of details, you discover the nice manner to show the story of Iphigenia or the Casandra premonition, or the clothes, or the Micenian portrait discovered by the finger of Paris or the fine recreation of Elena jewels.

The color of skin - can be it a problem ? A black Nestor or Achilles or Aeneas or Zeus are far to be a problem.

And the blessing of godesses just works, sure , in naif manner.

A series looking for its voice.

Not Troy with Peter O Toole or accurate version of Illiad. But far to be awful.

Production Value is very high Wardrobe is well done Acting is pretty good Story makes you contemplate and squirm a bit when bad stuff happens. Those who question the history need to remember this was a long freakin time ago in the 12th or 13th century. So we dont know everything and even the archeological account is highly speculative (we don't even know exactly when it occurred).

good things

Starting to see this series , against bad opinions about it, I propose to me to observe the good parts. Sure, them are only crumbs, but significant, no doubts.

First, I admired the fair portrait of Cassander.

Second, the jewels of Elena , wife of Menelaos, in the first scene of here, reminding the discovery of Schliemann and, in same measure, the gesture of Paris - Alexander to discover the Micenian portrait.

The black skin of Zeus or Nestor or Achilles or Aeneas are good points, too. Like the manner to propose the image of Iphigenia.

The loneliness of Zeus in a sort of ash field is, in same measure, not bad. Like the blessing of godesses.

The opened box from the last scene of the first episode and the apparence of Elena in Troy can be just poetic.

It is not a kick to read the epopee but a sort of dialogue with the readers knowing just the nuances of masterpiece.

And, any comparation with other serie of genre or adaptation falls.
