Big jump forward

The "new" Top Gear was a big disappointment last season. I was very skeptical about the show and was hoping they would get rid of some aspects of the 23rd season. And voila, it really got better. The new smaller core-team of three is not totally sync yet, but they are getting better.

I was looking forward a lot to Grad Tour, but that was quite disappointing. More funds, but less fun. I am surprised myself, but the Top Gear as it is now is again my favorite.

One part I do not like too much is the inclusion of the star for such a long period of the show, but I have to say that was always my least favorable segment.

Right now Le Blanc, Harris and Reid are still getting to know each other. They are not the natural team yet we where use from Top Gear. But there is hope they can get there.

One thing I was/am quite annoyed by though is Matt LeBlancs constant referring to the US. Its getting boring already.

Top gear is dead - Avoid like the plague

It gets 1 star, because giving it 0 will mean I cannot review it!

Where to begin. It lacks originality, humour, interest. As viewers it is so painful to watch Joey from friends sound more wooden than Groot!

You have Chris Harris doing some sort of grumpy old man routine, and what planet is Eddie Jordan on! I am desperately trying to find ANYTHING positive to say about this show, but I can't I just can't!

I mean the buggys in the desert sketch, has just been done on the Grand Tour! These clowns LITERALLY don't have an original idea in their head!

No doubt the paid BBC trolls who gave this trash high scores haven't actually watched it! I come away with a sense of anger. An anger based on my TV licence being thrown away to massage the ego of the talentless Joey from friends.

If it were just a web series or they put it on the worthless BBC three fine, but they are STILL using the same high budget as the TRUE Top Gear, whilst it is almost down to 1/3 of the audience! This might be forgivable if at least the DVD sales were going well, but NO ONE is buying this bilge!

I beg the BBC put us all out of our misery. ANYONE who gives this more than a 5 has an agenda.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

So much better than previous seasons

I love season 24! Better camera shots. Better reviews. More information. More cars, bikes, farm equipment etc. Better jokes. More fun. More variety. Something for everyone.

The banter is lighthearted and I am having fun watching them have fun.

I also don't feel like they're trying to be funny or witty. They just are. It is natural and comfortable TV.

Seasons 22 and 23 felt fake and stale. Those seasons put me off car shows so I watched more car reviews online. Even Grand Tour is unwatchable as the old gang is just regurgitating old one liners and silly old school ideas. Was complete rubbish and a waste of time. I could only stomach a couple of episodes before I found myself completely irritated by their antics.

Luckily season 24 of Top Gear is so much better than that!

The first few episodes of season 24 are fresher, crisper, happier entertainment. I switched my TV back on to watch a really good car show that hasn't disappointed in 2017. Well done!
