When Fiona is getting ready to go back to the city near the end of the movie, Angela comes in to say goodbye. Fiona puts her scarf around her neck and flips her hair out from under the scarf while they are talking. The camera is looking at her face while she's talking and flips her hair. The camera moves to Angela when Fiona says she has to go say goodbye to her father. The camera switches angles to follow Fiona as she walks past Angela, and as the camera watches her from the back, the scarf is still around her neck but her hair is completely underneath the scarf again. She flips her hair out from underneath the scarf a second time as she walks toward the door.
This movie has several scenes dedicated to tapping maple trees for syrup. However the trees the actors tap are clearly cedar trees. Also, they are seen tapping trees in winter. The sap or syrup would be frozen.
At the end the maple syrup is very slow in pouring. Actually true maple syrup is quite thin and would have poured right out. Plus the boiling down of the sap takes hours and is not a simple process.
Tortilla is Spanish Omelette, not Meat Pie.
When building the fence they used concrete to set the posts. Concrete will not set at 40 degrees or lower. With snow on the ground the temp would be below 40 degrees.
Vermont has "mountains" but not the jagged Rocky Mountain like peaks shown in the movie.
