Slice of Life is over three years in the making.
All special effects in Slice of Life were made the old-school way: the filmmakers used miniatures, back projections, matte paintings and practical effects.
There is no dialogue in the film. The whole film will be told only through visuals and actions of the characters.
The idea to connect Slice of Life with Blade Runner came later. Group had begun the project as a standalone film three years ago, but slowly, the references to Ridley Scott's film crept in, as filmmakers wanted to pay tribute to Blade Runner in some way.
To create a flying car that drug dealer drives in the movie, filmmakers used an old 1987 Citroën BX that was on it's way to the junkyard. They outfitted car interior with monitors and consoles. For the exterior shots, they built a 1:6 scale model.
