- Footage that Gypsy shot of her and her boyfriend after the murder is shown. One of which includes a non-graphic scene of Gypsy and her boyfriend after having sex. She remarks that he'll be eating her later and the scene ends.
Violence & Gore
- A woman was psychologically and physically abused by her mother for her entire life. We hear descriptions of the abuse throughout.
Profanity
- Profanity is pretty sparse in this film, but is very strong in it's minimal use. One notable scene includes a police officer reluctantly reading a profane and violent Facebook post.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- We learn a woman has been passing off her perfectly healthy daughter as disabled and gravely ill.
- Interviews with Gypsy Rose are shown throughout the film. We get graphic insight into the murder and the abuse she suffered through her mother. Through much of it, she's in tears.
- Overall, this is an incredibly distressing film with themes of murder, child abuse and mental illness. Many viewers will be disturbed that the filmmakers show a neutral stance on the actual murder.
