Sex & Nudity

  • A woman takes her clothes off in front of another character. Her back and side are shown a little bit. The sensitive parts are obscured.
  • A character does push-ups completely nude. His genitals aren't seen, and it isn't meant to be sexual.

Violence & Gore

  • a man is shot multiple times. a few blood spurts and impact wounds are shown.
  • Blood cannot be disabled in this game, but less is shown compared to 3&4. Some blood spurts occur when hitting enemies, and there are heat actions which depict more over-the-top moves which display more blood. Blood can hit the ground, resulting in small puddles and sometimes splatter effects. The player's fists get bloodied but it fades away after a few seconds.
  • one character is shot in the head, the shot results in some blood spray which ends up "raining" around the other characters
  • one character is shot in the leg. some blood spurts out.
  • a defenseless man is punched several times. some blood spurts. his face ends up bloodied towards the end.
  • in a torture scene, a dude sticks his finger in the victim's open wound and proceeds to lick it. finger lickin' good
  • in a fighting ring, one man repeatedly punches another while he's still down. there are some blood spurts and splatter effects in this cutscene.
  • one man is shot in the head. this happens off screen, but he is then shown laying down on his desk with blood surrounding his head.

Profanity

  • The words "damn, sh*t, f**k, jerkoff, etc." are shown in the dialogue. This game is subtitled and so the language is not heard in English. Yakuza 5 is a long game and actually does not cuss as much as the previous games. So it's almost PG-13 level in this department.
