Sneakily sad.

'Red Light (2017)' is a quiet and contemplative drama starring the excellent Jesse Buckley. It follows a prostitute who is offered a chance to leave her unfulfilling life behind by a nice guy who is soon moving away from London. The short is simple but effective, ending with a subtle yet significant emotional punch that marks the piece as one that's sneakily sad overall. It's much bleaker than it first appears. The lighting is perfect, unsurprisingly making excellent use of the eponymous red light, and the cinematography is very professional, too. The acting and writing are also both brilliant, with feature-quality performances bringing the down-to-earth and quietly devastating screenplay to life. Though the overall short seems to lack closure, in a sense, it's a confident and concise effort overall. It's pretty engrossing, too. 7/10.

---in this heartrending clash of hopes and dreams and intentions, a downbeat O Henry-esque tale superbly acted by rising star Jessie "Beast" Buckley, and co-stars Martin "The Survivalist" McCann and Ben "Vampire Academy" Peel. Recommended.

Minimalistic, seductiv, a bitter end and well crafted dialogue. A prostitute. His friend-confident. Dialogue about secrets , a plan, monez and future. And the cold end . The light, the gestures, the atmosphere as admirable virtues. And the thought if she real did not know the purpose of the questions of her friend.
