Matters of Life and Death

Warning: Spoilers
The KJ and Fish relationship is definitely entertaining. A little improbable how they go from fighting and leaving one another to get a ride home to regularly working together, but the show has something with that pair.

We are seeing more and more layers to these characters. I wish we didn't have a deadbeat dad and gang affiliations introduced in the same episode, but maybe the pace is going to change drastically moving forward and it needed to be done.

Uma Questão de Vida ou Morte

Seven Seconds (2018)

Series

1st Season

Episode Three - Uma Questão de Vida ou Morte

The baby scene is very tense and heavy, but it serves to show that even though DiAngelo is pretty rotten, he still has humanity..

Brenton's father getting lost and suspecting his brother, thinking he might have returned to the gang.

What I love most about this series are the character developments and also, the characters aren't just good or just bad.

Episode very good, and is not slow or boring.

Episode three of the first season of the Seven Seconds Miniseries watched on April 30, 2024.

Rating: 10/10.

These Cops Are the Worst
Hitchcoc23 July 2023
DiAngelo keeps talking about the "animals" they round up in their day to day lives. Who are the animals? I'm assuming that these guys are not representative of the rest of the force. They don't seem to have any oversight controlling their actions. What happens at the end is gut-crushing. Also, when the father comes into the police station after burying his son, he is met with hostility at the desk and then handcuffed. I know there are mean streets but. The investigation continues with the two who are developing a professional relationship, each damaged in their own ways. Jablonski is really affected by what happens at the end of this episode. The family is becoming more and more disintegrated.

Awesome

Warning: Spoilers
Continuing my marathon and another somewhat revolting episode. I would be very scared to live on the same street as Jablonski (I hope I spelled his name right). While Fish is a good guy for rescuing dogs, he also manages to be very bad at insinuating that Brenton is part of the gang all the time. The baby scene really affected me and shocked me. With DiAngelo's attitude when he sees the baby, we realize that in this miniseries there are no people who are 100% good or 100% bad. And this is wonderful for character development and putting us in the series and making us imagine that this could happen here in real life. Episode three watched on March 13, 2024.
