In "Just Add Caroline", there are two questions in Mr. Morris' notebook that we still haven't answered on the show. How old is the book and is there an author? The oldest recipe in the book the protectors have seen so far was for posset, a recipe from the middle ages. But the middle ages spanned from the 5th century to the 15th century so the true age is unknown.
In the beginning of "Just Add Caroline" we see an example of how drastically different the Chameleon Cauliflower can make you look. From a 70 year old man to a teenage girl in no time. In fact, Caroline could be pretending to be multiple people in town.
One of the writers on the show, Matt Goldman, also writes murder mystery novels in addition to Just Add Magic episodes. His expertise in this type of storytelling was used during this season when, onebyone, suspects suddenly became victims.
The couscous was one of the recipes that both the crew and actresses wanted our on-set cook to make more of so that we could eat it all day at work as a snack. Very often the food that gets made for the show gets enjoyed by the crew on set.
The show filmed the 'Murder Masquerade' set at a real middle school and even donated some of the sets built to the school's theater program.
