Wait For Another Bus
shawnblackman15 April 2018
I thought Tara Reid's mother had a guest appearance at the beginning, but it turned out to be Tara Reid doing some kind of Mummynado. We get lucky with her not being in it for very long.

We don't get so lucky with the overall film however. A group head out on a bus trip to The Burning Man Festival but end up lost and being on the menu for some demon worshipping cannibals.

It just ends up being silly with laughable effects and shows laziness on the production end of it. The demon suit near the end takes the prize. There is consistant nudity which may or may not help you get through this film.

I recommend you stay off this bus and wait for another.

A bus, boobs and blood.
BA_Harrison30 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It's 'all aboard' for a cheap and cheerful journey into trashy horror, Party Bus To Hell piling on the cheesy gore and T&A in an effort to make up for its atrocious acting and wafer thin plot. Writer/director Rolfe Kanefsky has zero pretensions: he's not out to change the face of horror but to make an entertainingly dumb flick for those who like the simpler things in life - severed limbs and sexy women - and in that he mostly succeeds.

Ignore the pre-credits sequence starring Tara Reid - it has no bearing on the rest of the film: the real fun starts when pretty blonde Lara (Stefani Blake) boards the eponymous bus headed for the Burning Man festival, her fellow passengers a hedonistic bunch of revellers with sex and drugs on their mind. While Lara and her new friends kick back on the bus, the driver takes a short-cut through the desert, coming to a halt in the middle-of-nowhere, where they are attacked by members of strange religious cult who believe that their 'chosen one' is on the party bus.

As the crazies try to board the stranded vehicle, several characters are caught, killed and eaten (they're cannibal cultists!), and body parts are passed around. It eventually transpires that Lara is the 'chosen one', the only virgin on the bus, and so she heads to the luggage compartment with one of the guys to pop her cherry, an act that has most unexpected results...

With non-stop female nudity (almost all of the film's actresses stripping off to some degree) and enthusiastic splatter of wildly varying quality, Party Bus To Hell is unapologetically low-brow, meaning that it will undoubtedly irk many viewers. If, like me, you like low-brow, then there is a reasonable amount of fun to be had.

Fairly Terrible, But The Last 25 Minutes Redeems It, Sort Of.
By-TorX-121 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Party Bus to Hell doesn't set the bar high from the beginning, but there are some amusing moments. While much of the narrative is pretty static (cult members just standing around the seemingly impregnable party bus and gently rocking it on occasion) the last 25 minutes do gel into a passable horror romp and the film wisely keeps all of the best characters around for the finale. The comedy isn't very funny and if the film had played it straight, it could have been a decent Wrong Turn-style tale, but it is tonally all over the place. As for the top-billed Tara Reid, she is barely in the film and her sequences at the beginning make no sense at all in the overall scheme of things. Indeed, her parts play out as if this was a recorded film and the last five minutes of a previous horror film were included as the antics of ninja mummies and flying undead heads has no connection with the devil-cult happenings and doings and the demon larks of the main plot whatsoever. So, Party Bus to Hell has some decent moments, but not many, and it is probably not really worth the fare in the long run.

Terribly terrible
gregberne118 January 2019
This movie is not just terrible it is terribly terrible. Tara Reid is in it for like one minute which is too bad because even though she is terrible she is still the best actor in this. The movie is pointless, very cheap looking, with cheap sound. Not even the boobs can make this movie worth watching, there are a billion better movies if you just want to see boobs where there is also a plot that is not incredibly boring and there are jokes that are actually funny. The entire plot could be about two minutes long, no kidding. Just terribly done from start to finish. Seriously how bad does a movie and the boobs have to get before guys watching it get bored of looking at the boobs and turn it off? That actually happened here. Guys got bored of these boobs. This movie is so terrible.

The Overrated IMDb User Rating Is a Bad Joke
claudio_carvalho12 July 2018
"Party Bus to Hell" is the typical movie that reflects how sad the IMDb is after the recent modifications. The film is an unfunny garbage, with the cameo of Tara Reid that looks like an unhealthy dummy (or mummy?). There are also fake reviews and ratings to promote this flick and lure the unwary reader. The gore, nudity and breasts are so stupid that never entertain and the poor CGI is awful. The overrated IMDb User Rating (5.5) is a bad joke. In the end, what could a viewer expect from a film entitled "Party Bus to Hell" with Tara Reid as the lead actress? My vote is two.

This is a very lousy film filled with unnecessary n overlong nudity, bad creature effects n headache n sleep inducing flickering lights.
Fella_shibby14 April 2018
The film has a decent opening scene with the desert location n a couple running away from something. We get to c a very plastic looking Tara Reid. She beheads the other person in a fit of hysteria n the dead man's head starts talking to her. This was sufficient to convey wher the movie was heading. Still i had hopes after reading in the trivia section that this film got some achievement award in Calcutta (city in my country India). I dont kno how far that is true. Cut the scene n we get to c a girl who gets invited to board a bus which is heading towards Nevada for some burning man festival. This is a very lousy film filled with unnecessary topless scenes, boring n lengthy lesbian orgies, bad cgi, repeated scenes of lesbian orgies with blood while the men jus stands aside. Lots on boobs on display, one lousy sex scene n one very lousy creature. There was absolutely no tension or suspense. The dialogues were horrendous. Apart from Tara Reid who is also the producer, the only actor i cud recognise is Sadie Katz from Wrong turn 6. She too doesn't hesitate to go topless. Her voice n face r seductive though. In one scene the tatoos/reptiles from Sadie katz's body comes out alive. This scene was supposed to be creepy but the headache n sleep inducing flickering lights ruined the entire scene. This is the second time i encountered a bad movie experience regarding almost similar title n synopsis. The first one was Hard ride to hell. Well apart from the titles being a lil similar, even the synopsis n the settings were very similar. Cult satanic group n desert location. Both the movies r awful.

This REALLY SUCKS!
danocaster14 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I didn't expect much from a movie with the title of Party Bus to Hell but this is dismal beyond belief. The CGI effects are so bad and it looks like it was shot on a long weekend. Poor Tara Reid looks haggard and unhealthy and the rest of the cast is forgettable. I figured that you'd get a kind of Fred Olen Ray film, with lots of hot looking girls running around naked but most of the women should have kept their clothes on! The so called plot is like a combo of Race with the Devil and The hills have eyes. Making comedy horror is actually quite hard to do. This just proves that. Words are hard to come up with to describe this. Wasted time and money that I won't get back. You've been warned.

One hellish bus ride that doesn't make one want to party
TheLittleSongbird4 September 2018
Was drawn into seeing 'Party Bus to Hell', with a cool poster/cover, an intriguing premise and as someone with a general appreciation for the genre it fits under. That it was low-budget, which from frequent personal experience is rarely a good sign due to that there are so many poor ones out there (though there are decent to good ones as well), made me though apprehensive.

It is sadly however yet another film seen recently, hence some reiteration because the exact same strengths and flaws present in those films are here, that to me was incredibly disappointing considering its potential which it doesn't do anywhere near enough with. 'Party Bus to Hell' is really quite abominable, with so many huge flaws and doesn't do anywhere near enough with its potential, which was quite a good deal. There is nothing good here in 'Party Bus to Hell', just amateur hour all round.

Going on to the negatives, the story does feel over-stretched and some of it comes over as vague and under-explained in the last third where the film especially became duller, more predictable, more senseless and less unsettled and never gaining momentum. All the characters are too sketchy and with cardboard thin and colourless personalities and with nowhere near enough to make one want to endear to them. Their annoying and illogical decision making and behaviours frustrates. The chemistry is bland and unfocused.

The sound quality is obvious and utilised cheaply (being too loud in the build ups and people's reactions), the effects are laughable and all of the acting is lacking severely on the whole, that's actually an understatement as the worst of it is horrendous. There is no sense of horror or engagement with the awful predicament they're in, and no connecting with the character, it just reeks of indifference which makes the viewer not care less too. Lead actress Tara Reid is the epitome of all of the above.

Dialogue can be stilted and rambling while the pace and film drags on forever, apparent from the very start, never recovering that interest is lost fast. The ending has no build-up and just ends ridiculously. Found too many of the supposedly shocking moments not surprising or scary and the atmosphere dreary, due to the excessive obviousness, a lot of dumb and vague moments and explanations and the lack of tension and suspense. Thrills are none, thanks to stodginess and excessive over-familiarity, and found myself never invested in the drama, which tended to be indifferently acted, interminably paced and statically directed.

A lot of 'Party Bus to Hell' has really dull and going nowhere plot elements and often nonsensical and confusing character motivations, while too many of the things to make you shocked are far from creative or unsettling. It all feels rather mean-spirited. Anything included to attempt to spice things up, namely the nudity, is overused and abused, most of the time to a pointless degree.

Nothing freaky or interesting, no development and too derivative, while everything is unimaginative and are more odd than scary, completely failing to show any sense of dread. There is nothing interesting or illuminating with what the film was trying to do and the drama is overwrought with no momentum and a lot of weirdness. The direction is leaden, got the sense their heart was not in it, and the music is ill-fitting. 'Party Bus to Hell' is very amateurish visually, making one feel nauseous and actually did feel a headache coming on. Especially the lighting, epileptics need to be aware of the headache-inducing overuse of flickering. The editing is some of the worst ever with more continuity errors than one can count.

Altogether, irredeemably terrible. 1/10 Bethany Cox

Ultra B-film mayhem
tattoopig15 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Boobs, body parts and gore are the order of the day in this weird B-film that defies all the laws of cinema and entertains deliciously, even though it is so bad....oh, so so bad! Tara Reid is in it for the first three minutes and is then dispatched in a startling, yet perfectly apt way - I think many of us have wanted to push her in front of a large moving vehicle! Most of the other female actors are strippers (one even brings her python along), and no one has ever heard of the male actors. This is a train smash of a film that keeps you glued to the screen just to see if it can get any worse! Fortunately it DOES get worse!! NO one is taking the film seriously and all the actors look as if they're having a great time in the desert, throwing fake blood and rubber arms at each other. This film will score a def 10/10 if you get totally wasted and THEN watch it!

Pure excretia - How not to make a movie!
omendata20 April 2018
Overly long nudity its so passe and been done to death - i presume the directors are a bit desperate for a woman and have never seen a woman's breasts before so puerile in its derivativeness, crap special effects and terrible gore effects that look like a 10 year old did on his mums kitchen table - heck maybe they did!

The two directors and producers of this garbage have zero talent and just copy stuff that has been done to death a million times so its not funny, its not interesting and its pure drivel - They should go back to their day jobs shovelling crap instead of transporting this cinematic excrement onto cheap digital footage!

I made a movie on youtube thats more interesting than this drivel and it only took me 5 minutes and a bucket of crap!

My brother has never asked me to turn off a movie in the entirety of his life but after 15 mins he told me to put that off!!

Pretty much what I expected from the title... and that's not necessarily a bad thing!
nicholas_libra7915 April 2018
First off, let me start by saying I think some of the less than favorable reviews for this movie seem to be a bit harsh and perhaps the viewers chose to take it a little too seriously. Which, in my opinion, would be a mistake since the movie itself very openly doesn't take itself seriously. At all. On purpose. After all, this is low budget, independent horror, with a playful nod to early years of slasher cinema.

That said, there's definitely room to pick apart several aspects of the overall production for those so inclined, but what's the fun in that? If you're just looking for entertainment, some bloody cheap thrills, and aren't afraid to laugh at a movie that isn't afraid to laugh at itself then it's quite a fun ride.

This title comes equipped with plenty of clever one-liners woven through the dialogue, and a devilish smorgasbord of blood, boobs, bad guys (and girls) to keep your attention up until the twist at the end, which is in itself noteworthy. I personally enjoyed this ill-fated adventure and found it worth the price of the bus ticket.

Surprisingly good throwback to 80's horror mixed with a bit of modern
Had no idea what to expect with this one. What I ended up getting was a gory, nudity-filled weird flick, and truthfully it worked rather well. This one harkened back to early 80's horror mixed with a slight touch of the modern era. In a lot of ways, it's a Heavy Metal music video turned into a horror film.

The FXs, for the most part, are pretty damn solid. There are a few things here and there that looked cheesy, but overall, they were solid. The acting wasn't groundbreaking but was serviceable enough it didn't ruin the film. It was shot fairly well and I had no issues with most of the technical aspects of the film.

Sure, this has some issues and dumb decisions/actions by the characters, but for the most part, I actually found this to be rather enjoyable. It doesn't try too hard to be anything more than an oddball gory horror flick. I'm okay with that because sometimes that's just what you need. Like a lot of my reviews, take it with a grain of salt. This is going to appeal to a certain group of people, and probably be loathed by others but whatever, to each, their own.

My Rating: 6/10

What?
goldenageoffilm27 September 2019
The film is filled with poorly filmed nudity, to make up for the fact it has no plot. Sadie Katz is the only actor who is tolerable in the film. The other acting is just deplorable. But, can you blame the actors? The script is worse than the acting. Comedy where it shouldn't be, cliche after cliche after cliche. Clearly the filmmakers thought if we fill this up with nudity and perversion it will sell. Worst film this year.

Party bus to hell is best avoided

One of the worst indie efforts Party bus to hell is best avoided unless you have a fetish for watching naked woman being killed- which is something you can find in much better movies anywhere. This film is an absolute abomination and a waste of time, energy and money. (Avoid at all costs)

Warning: Spoilers
I recently saw what I would describe as the worst film I had ever seen.........until I watched this. The only redeeming features (and this really is straw clutching here) are the odd reference and in joke that give a passing hod to films like from Dusk till dawn. The story is non existant, the script, if there was one, should have been non existant. There are the odd pair of boobs thrown in but this definately moved into pole position for the poorest, most non sensical, confusing, poorly acted, poorly written drivel I have ever come across. Save yourself the pain fast forward to the end credits and watch the 5 second blooper with Tara Reid. Or better yet just watch anything else and I mean anything, your wedding video, your summer holidays films anything but this

Quite possibly the worst thing i have ever seen.
grayroland18 February 2019
I love horror movies, I love comedy movies, I love horror comedy movies. There is not a single redeemable factor of this steaming pile. This is the first movie I have not been able to watch straight through and went out of my way to create this account because of how bad it is. There is no acting, there is no "special" effects, and there is no movie. Its watching a bunch of people in the desert scream for an hour and a half with its nudity being the main point of the film. It's like that scene in "Scary Movie" where the popular girl pretends to be scared of the killer because she thinks it's her boyfriend, but take out all the humor and talent. Just people reading a script to each other in the dark. Even Tara Reid who is a B-movie icon at this point puts more effort in her morning dumps than any one did creating this movie. I sincerely hope the director and producer never make a single movie ever again and are locked up for the creation of this crime against humanity and cinema.

It has its moments
graham_hill130 September 2022
The performances are okay for the most part. Tara Reid (American Pie 1999, Sharknado film series) gets top billing, but then so did Bryan Cranston in 2014's Godzilla. She is not that great, though her moment stands out. It is a little harder picking out the Aaron Taylor-Johnson of the piece though. The survivors are played fine, but they are kind of bland beyond their quirks. Alan (Richard Hochman: Everyone Wants Theirs series, Tide Waters 2014) is the jerk who takes charge. Reese (ViDonna Michaels: The Beautiful Life series, Clean Break 2007) is the put-upon girlfriend of the cowardly Warren (Ben Stobber: The Immortal Wars series, Ten Violent Women Two 2017), Ivy (Shelby McCullough: Classacts 2018) is the lesbian, etc.

Bus Party to Hell of a bad movie
Stevieboy6669 March 2021
When Tara Reid gets top billing that usually is not a good thing in my book, bizarrely she only gets about 2 minutes screen time here. Bus load of music festival goers on a bus get stuck in the Nevada desert and are attacked by some demonic cult who look like a cross between the Circus of Horrors and Mad Max. There is a lot of violence, lots of gore and a lot of sex and nudity. Some of the practical special effects are reasonably good but the CGI looks very cheap. Dumb movie, more annoying than funny, wooden acting galore, even the nudity became tiresome for me. Nice desert scenery though. The closing credits suggest a sequel, that is one ride I'd be in no rush to take.

You've seen Snakes on a Plane, now it's time for Boobs on a Bus!
one9eighty8 March 2021
In the world of low-budget B-movie films, there are good films and there are bad films. There are bad films that are good-bad films, and there are bad films which are bad-bad. This film falls well beyond the later to be a bad film which was bad-terrible. Based on reviews and trailers I knew what to expect; a trashy film which was dripping with cheese and excessive amounts of fake blood - but I do not think I was actually that well prepared for what I eventually watched.

A party bus on its way to the Burning Man festival in America breaks down in the desert. This is an inconvenience for the young adults onboard as they are ready to party and want nothing more than more loud music, sex, drugs, and alcohol - most of which the party bus has been able to provide so far. During the night they are attacked by satanic nomads who are hiding out in the desert and enjoy a good massacre. The young adults, or what is left of them, take refuge on the bus and fight for their lives. Being relative strangers to one and other, they can either pull together or fall apart, and it seems that they are not all who they claim to be.

This film became a chore to watch quickly. Even before the 10-minute mark was up, my wife was happier cleaning our cats litter tray and then cleaning the kitchen instead. There is an idea of a story here, but it is not all that original, and it is executed terribly. The plot feels like it could have come straight form a horror-comedy-parody of the early 2000's. Rather than an interesting or original story this film was geared up for the visuals as the vehicle which would carry the film.

Aesthetically this film was, well, it was a bit of a mess. The CGI was annoyingly weak and became a running joke. I like a lot of gore in movies, but if it serves a purpose. And in this it felt like there was a budget of fake blood to use, so it was just flung in wherever and whenever. But let's not beat around the bush here... I would have to be blind not to mention the partial nudity and sex that was shown for pretty much 90% of the film. This film is filled with topless woman and seems to be happy to objectify the female characters to the point they become lusting caricatures. Even the ones who are set up to be heroes/survivors are sexualised and enjoy exploring their own or each other's flesh. I am not a prude by any stretch of the imagination - but the sexualisation here got boring and cringy quickly, it wasn't necessary, other than perhaps to cover up or distract from the bad story and poor acting.

The cast of actors assembled do not have much experience under their belts, and to be honest, it was not really required either. It feels like the casting requirements were: (1) are you young and consider yourself hot? (2) can you read off a script? (3) do you mind getting semi-naked in front of the camera? (4) Are you happy to wear your own clothes and get them doused in fake blood? My comments here are due to it feeling like the assembled cast were just reading the script - no emotions or feelings, just word for word reading. The writing wasn't great for them so that didn't help, and there were a lot of stereotypical characters - the easy girl, the stoner, the hippie, the spoiled rich kid, the nerd, the lesbians. Sadie Katz and Tara Reid seem to be the recognizable actors in this with credible experience. Tara Reid looked like she's just finished a 24-hour party, and Sadie Katz seemed happy enough to join the topless troupe.

By the end of the film, apart from feeling violated, I was also getting a headache. The lighting in the film is reminiscent of going to a poorly lit rave in the 1990's. There are moments when strobe lighting has been used to intensify the action being played out - but it just ended up hurting my eyes which where already in distress from watching the film. I will not be in a rush to go and watch this again or recommend it highly. When it comes to a rating, I am going to give it 2 out of 10. You might have expected a 1 out of 10, but this gets an extra star only due to the fact that I have seen some terrible movies in my time and at least I got through this in one sitting. It was disjointed and poorly executed, but it was not that annoying and contrived that I could not soldier through it to the end so that I never have to watch it again.

Attack of the prudes
thedarkestshadow-3278531 August 2020
What's with all the prudes reviewing this film complaining about the nudity? This movie is not as bad as some people here are making it out to be. It's meant to be a kind of stupid nonsense movie. Give it a shot. I gave it a 1 because of the pointless political dig that had no business being in it. Unless your movie is political keep politics out of it.

So bad, it's good
mrhalloween14 March 2019
It looks like they went to a Goth club & asked "Anyone wanna make a devil worshiping horror comedy?!?!" and half the club screamed "HELL YEA!" Great! We got our Devil worshipers!! They don't even need costumes, they can just wore their own club gear! Who know where they scrounged up the "normies" & burners from. The characters were all stereotypically perfect and played to a T!

The acting was decent, the effects were terrible, and quite a few laughs to be had. If you're a fan of B & C rated movies, you love nudity & blood, then this movie is for you! Grab some beers & popcorn & kick back with some friends for some terrible fun!

Fun small-budget horror in the Nevada desert, but trashy and one-dimensional
Wuchakk14 May 2019
A Las Vegas bus full of partyers travels though Nevada to the Burning Man Festival when they get stuck in the desert and a diabolical cult attacks. Tara Reid has a small part in the opening act.

"Party Bus to Hell" (2017) has the same basic plot as the even lower-budget "The Craving" (2008), but exchanges the deadly creature for the evil cult, not to mention "The Craving" is serious horror while "Party Bus" is decidedly horror comedy. The desert locations, satanic cultists and goofy-costumes also bring to mind "Race with the Devil" (1975) and "The Road Warrior" (1981) ("Mad Max" is even mentioned in the movie). But it's by far the least of these with "The Craving" being the best of the lot despite its spare change budget (don't get me wrong, "The Road Warrior" is definitely worthy and "Race with the Devil" has its points of interest).

The best things about "Party Bus" are the spectacular desert locations, quality soundtrack with some great metal and the amusing, kinetic tone. The inevitable creature looks quite wicked as well. But it's all diminished by wallowing in a filthy spirit that borders on porn, hampered by sub-par women, except for one or two. Another flaw is the one-dimensional nature of the bulk of the film: A group confined in a bus with ee-vil people attacking outside. It gets dull after a while. The awful "Vampegeddon" (2010) is another micro-budget comparison, but "Party Bus" is significantly better.

The movie runs 1 hour, 21 minutes and was shot in Nevada.

GRADE: D+
