The song Mickey sings as the show begins and his appearance/costume resembles that of Bing Crosby, who famously made several very popular Christmas records and films in the 1940s and 50s, such as "Holiday Inn." Later, Mickey and Donald Duck perform a dance number which is reminiscent of Crosby's scenes with Danny Kaye in "White Christmas."
