Saturday, Bosch is back at Angels Flight, he imagines himself as a boy walking with his mother there. Then riding a car down, he wakes from his sofa with a start, Maddie is standing beside him. She asks about his mother's funeral, but there hadn't been one, as his mother had been buried in an unmarked grave. Bosch doesn't really believe in cemeteries. Harry gives her back the Chapman Acceptance letter.
A news crew sets up outside Hollywood Station. Jimmy Robertson sneaks Frank Sheehan out through the next door Fire Hall, Rooker drives him away with Capt Garwood. Edgar has Lincoln in handcuffs, Bosch compliments Robertson on getting Sheehan out. Det. Moi sends over a mugshot of the probable biker/killer, an Asian with long hair and is in organized crime. Harry tells Jerry the Farmers Market video showed a long-haired passenger on the bike who shot Eleanor.
DA Rick O'Shea arrives, he sits with Bosch in the interview room with Lincoln. They have a boilerplate offer for her to sign. The other cops watch on video monitor. O'Shea says it is only good if it results in charges on Elias, Lincoln signs. Lincoln then explains Bradley Walker gave her the video. Walker and Elias had a deal settling cases with kickbacks, she got a bit of Walker's share for providing info. This time Elias "got religion", Walker killed him personally for reneging on their deal, Elias was also going to expose Walker in Court. Lincoln switched the bullets on Sheehan's gun. O'Shea says there is no hard evidence on Elias and leaves grumbling. The cops plan how to nail Elias, they need the missing video.
Billets sees Bosch privately, he says he is Walker's alibi as he was at the Biltmore Hotel with Walker last Friday.
Snyder goes over Lincoln's effect, pausing at a key-chain photo of her young daughter. Edgar drives Lincoln for a polygraph test.
Bennett calls Bosch, she says Bondigas was shipped back to Mexico by ICE already and is gone.
Millie Elias comes to see Bosch. Harry explains Sheehan was not the killer. Millie gives him a bag of Howard's effects returned to her, the bag has a steel ring and coins, she says her husband didn't wear a ring. Millie says she doesn't know anything about a video or microSD card, her husband would have kept it close.
Bosch goes to the War Room, Snyder is there. They scan the bag of items. Harry tells her not to feel connected to Lincoln and steps out.
Robertson goes to see Sheehan, resting by a filthy pool at Rooker's house. Jimmy claims he saw the video from the junkyard, Sheehan basically confirms Drake was there too as a second man to hold Harris down.
Harry goes to see Phil Gentry to talk about Walker. Harry apologizes for the speeding ticket incident last year. Walker has a $50million debt with Gentry's bank, Harry wants the details.
Lincoln is strapped in and answers questions for the lie detector test.
Billets, Deputy Chief Delgado and a group of uniforms talk to the Protesters, they are not happy with being penned into a Park and want to be on the street. The groups reach a compromise location closer to the Station on a side street. Desiree Zealy is no longer part of the group.
Irving calls Bosch, summons him to his office. Driving Harry notes a tail but the car turns off, replaced by another. Irving is upset after hearing from O'Shea about Lincoln, Bosch pushes back and notes how someone was tipped off to get rid of Bondigas. Irving warns Bosch he needs solid evidence on Walker.
Snyder is getting stressed out, Robertson offers to buy her a drink after work. Edgar says Lincoln passed the polygraph. Robertson says Sheehan confirmed Drake was on the video, confirming Lincoln's story. Pierce couldn't find the video in Elias' office, will try his condo later. Snyder confirmed Lincoln's bank deposits with three other Elias cases. Harry lets the others know about the $50 million loan, Walker is just scraping by with minimal payments. They can't figure out how Walker would have got from the Biltmore to Angels Flight and back without being noticed.
Sgt Mankiewicz comes in to say a Chinese cop is waiting for Bosch. Shiwei Chen is waiting with an interpreter, Bosch kicks out the translator and sits down. Chen says he works for the Chinese government, is sorry about Eleanor Wish and wants to exchange info on the killers. When Chen asks about Reggie Woo and Maddie Bosch erupts angrily, perceiving it as a threat, but also happens to mention Eddie Vang the suspected killer.
Harry leaves the office and quickly calls Maddie to pack a bag and get ready to leave. He races to his house, FBI agent Chuck Deng has followed him. Harry settles down as Deng promises protection. Harry thinks Agent Griffin has been working with Chen.
Mayor Ramos comes to see Chief Irving, Ramos says he will be supporting the protesters, making a public stand against the LAPD since Lincoln is a cop. Irving responds with bitterness.
Robertson and Snyder have drinks at the Smog Cutter Bar. Robertson asks her to join him in Newton Division once he is a D-3. Shaz, Jimmy's gal pal the barmaid makes them a special drink Rojo Profundo.
Bosch gets latex gloves and evidence bags and goes to the Biltmore Hotel. Pierce and Edgar search the condo. Bosch wanders around the hotel ballroom and notices staff slipping behind a curtain. Following, he ends up in the kitchen area, a manger shows him the door to an old tunnel, used by staff years ago to get to the subway station. Bosch enter the dark tunnel. He notices a napkin wad that was used to plug the door strike. With a flashlight he follows the pitch dark tunnel and footprints. Exploring passages and doorways he eventually makes his way to an abandoned subway tunnel, and stairs taking him to the foot of Angels Flight. He calls J.Edgar to confirm how Walker did it.
