Warning: Spoilers
When we are watching a ten episode series, we must be patient because there are going to be expository ones. This is pretty much one of those. It takes the death of Eleanor and deals with Harry's reactions and his concern for Maddy. We also have some disruptions in the chief's office (he, of course, has delegated his authority for the time being). Of course, we know that Bosch is stewing, his anger building. There are also a group of bad cops who are using their assumed status to get away with murder. Those who have integrity are vilified. I'm intrigued by the way this show is heading.

Strong character episode

Harry and Madeline deal with the aftermath of tragedy.

This one mixes the usual solid police procedural scenes with strong character moments involving Harry and Madeline as they deal with bereavement. Some of the visual storytelling is used well to link past and recent traumas for both characters.

Other interesting scenes include the build up to the protests, the workplace politics involving Billets, and Harry's blunt exchanges with the powers that be. The writers are developing a nice bit of tension through Harry's disregard for authority figures and it makes me want to see if there will be a reaction at some point.

The actors are on good form as always and the visuals are excellent.
