In this episode, Tony Todd plays a character with a hook for a hand. This is a throwback to his character Candyman, who also had a hook for a hand.
Filming was completed on November 12, 2017, but the show did not air for almost two years due to the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal.
The third season was originally re-titled Scream Resurrection (it has the original Scream title on Netflix), and moved from MTV to VH-1.
The opening shot is of a full moon on a dark night. If you look closely, you can see the shadows on the moon make the Ghostface mask.
For the third season, the original Ghostface mask and costume returns. This is because the third season features an all-new cast and story, and does not continue the Brandon James story arc from the previous two seasons.
