When Anna wakes up in the hospital and sees detective Little, he tells her that his partner has Punch the cat at her place. Stating that "When you are ready she's happy to giver her back to you". However at the end of the movie, when Anna is saying goodbye to the house and puts Punch in the cat carrier she says "Good Boy".
During the memory recall scene of the family's car crash in the snow, the sound of the windscreen wipers remains constant but are out of the sync with the visuals when constantly cutting between Anna and Ed.
Police would not bring Alistair and Jane into Anna's apartment to investigate a claim of murder in Alistair's apartment. This happens a second time later on.
Dr. Anna Fox's therapist would not have volunteered to Detective Little so many details about what she's been through, her family accident, the daily calls with her family, etc. That violates Doctor-Patient Privilege.
After she comes around in the car accident with the car on its roof, where the family have all been hanging upside down in their seat belts for a while, the blood from their head injuries is seen as having run down their faces, whereas in reality it would have run into their hair.
Anna had reported her address to 911 as being 104 W. 121st Street. And one can clearly see the address of 101 on the neighbor's building doorway across the street. That is accurate. But at the beginning of the movie her male therapist in her living room is looking out a side window at a light brick building with outside fire stairs. At her address there is no side window in that apartment and there is no such building nearby. But, okay, one must allow a little creativity from the set designers. However, at the end of the movie when walking out of her own building... she is seen actually exiting 106 W. 121st Street.... not 104.
The scars on Anna's face are round. They should be looking like a line if they were (as one would hope) sutured by a physician when at the hospital.
Anna Fox (Amy Adams) is referred to as a "shrink" and also as a psychiatrist throughout the film which she is not. She herself states she is a child psychologist. A psychiatrist or "shrink" as they're nicknamed must have a medical degree.
After David corrects Anna that his last name is Winter, not Winters, Detective Little addresses him as Mr Winters.
