Good laugh for smaller children and adults alike, just silly fun all the way through

I didn't have high expectations going into this movie but happily it turned out to be a lot better than expected, after about the first 15 minutes.
There are plenty of laughs for little ones and a lot aimed at adults as well but I am not sure about older children and teens. I enjoyed the silliness as well as the jokes as the slap stick worked well. It also rattles along at a good pace as well with little time for anyone to get bored.
The film doesn't pretend to be anything but what it is, harmless family fun. There are no moral overtones and it has the lightest of stories but that shouldn't deter anyone.

Another cute story ruined by unnecessary feminism and sexuality. The male birds - heroes and center of the story for a long long time - were made to look idiots who were in need of a female leader who obviously was smart way way smart. What has happened to Hollywood? Why genderism in each movie?

I have to say this film is way funnier than I expected. The characters are cute, the jokes are funny, and there is actually a sense of adventure and captivation as well. The film is a light-hearted, a great brain off watch.

It is predictable as Red and his friends as the birds that are without any kind of wings to fly take on their nemesis at the beginning of the first film the green pigs.
But that another third party is coming and the pigs and birds must put aside their differences and work together. To save their homes and despite Red, who went from zero to hero in the first film and is insecure, about being liked must make a truce with the pigs lead by King Leonard
Zeta the Eagle leader and her daughter-servant Debbie are sick of the ice and want to have both islands to have thawed on out.
It is revealed something as Mighty Eagle is not as brave as he or the audience wants to think he is. But there is something to have a history with him and Zeta there.
New character Silver a smart female bird who has a love-hate relationship with Red and is the sister of Chuck the fast bird. As she brings something to the movie being with wit and charm

The angry birds 2 is a seauel to 2016,s film of the same name. And focuses on reds new fame and the continued rivalry between the birds and the pigs. But they are forced to put aside there differences and work together after discovering a new island inhabited by eagles led by there evil leader Zeta ( leslie jones). The angry birds 2 was surprisingly a lot funnier then the first film and offered a very entertaining yet somehow very familiar formula for a family film lets talk about this.
First of all we have to start of with the amazing animation. The film looked absolutely stunning you could really tell how much hard work was put into it and how much the animation has improved since the first film. All the islands and characters looked amazing and the film was full with loads of colour that really shined throughout the film whilst watching.
Next the film was actually really funny. Yes despite being fairly stupid in places the humour in this film was actually very clever. The humour fitted in with the dialogue of the film so therefore it managed to achieve many laughs for me. And just simple humour like people smelling bacon when the pigs were burning. The film was much funnier then the first one.
Next i loved all the new characters and the villain. The new characters of the chicks were a fun addition to the film. Having there own separate plot and character arcs that did not involve red and the team until the end. There whole quest to retrieve the eggs was very entertaining as they could not get lucky. A lot of funny moments involving whales and snakes was used as well so they were a fun touch. But the best new character that was introduced was the villain Zeta ( Leslie jones) her character was interesting and a lot of fun to watch. she was given some great dialogue to play with in the script. The character was hilariously sassy but also brutal with her passion. But you also understood her reasoning for her actions due to her former relations with the mighty eagle so she was definitely a fun character. And all the voice cast were excellent in there roles as well Tiffany Haddish was a fun standout as the new character of zetas daughter.
However i do feel that the pacing was fairly rushed for the film. Due its short length time which is normal for an animated film. But they fitted so much into the plot it was hard to focus on one particular moment in the film as they did not really have any moment sink in. It was all just one thing after another it just slightly lacked the heartwarming sweet moments of the first film.
Next i thought the new island that they managed to create was a lot of fun to watch. To have everything frozen left many funny gags with ice and no electricity. The seals and many of the set locations were a lot of fun to watch. However unfortunately it was a fairly lazy plot choice. I just thought they could of a more imaginative idea then just adding another island they could of done this better.
Now time for my final two positives. Firstly the rivalry between the birds and pigs was as fun as ever. There frenemy status was in full force and it was very entertaining to watch. The way they played pranks on each other and constantly insulted each other was definitely one of my favourite parts of the film. And the way they had to set aside there differences to work together was a needed character arc for both of the animals. And finally i really enjoyed Reds character arc throughout. He literally went on a complete 360 from the first film he is loved by everyone and yet still was unable to find love or express his feelings and with the introduction of silver he still felt like he was not loved enough so his character was great to watch.
However i do have to end on my final negative. The film essentially had the same plot as the first one with some slight changes. Reds personality and character arc was similar to the first film it was a discovery of a new island just like the first one and the relationship between the birds and the pigs was the same as well this was a slight shame.

Birds and Pigs unite for the sequel based on a mobile app game. The plot is predictable but that's not the purpose of watching this, the purpose here is to have fun. Dialogues are worth the laugh, you can imagine the actor's performance while watching this. The story is straightforward to the objectives and the character's are well written to interact greatly with one another. A decent fun sequel that entertains in a better way than the first film.
Best Comedy & Family movie.

High energy, colourful, animated adventure sequel, based on a phone app.
The eagle leader of a 3rd icy island, wants to destroy the bird and pig islands to create their own paradise. The birds and pigs call a truce, they team up and assemble a super-team to fight the common enemy and save their homes. There's lots of nonsense slapstick humour and gags for both kids and adults.
This movie wasn't on my watch list, but our granddaughter wanted to see and she enjoyed. This is a movie for kids, though more entertaining than I was expecting.

All the wittiness, charm, subtle humor, great music of the first Angry Birds movie
is missing completely from the sequel. The first movie grabbed you immediately with a great opening sequence and went up from there, this movie is turd from start to finish with a few moments of second rate laughs. And I mean few.
It doesnt help that Rovio, in their infinite wisdom, cancelled the video game that the first movie was based on six months after the first film opened. What a terrible executive decision by Kati Lavoranta no wonder Rovio is now a second rate company. Angry Birds FIGHT! was a great self-promo for the movie and obviously without the gameplay and plot of the (extremely expensive) tablet game the writers ran out of clever and good ideas for context and subplot for the movie. Im not sure what was more nauseating, the lack of subplot that forced the 'wittle babbee biwds' on us or the hood rat bad guy whos last line in the film is "I's married" . Yeah, 'for reals'.
My daughter was six when the first one came out and she has watched that one at least 8 times, she loves it. So do I. We just finished watching this one and she said "The first one is better and there is too much mushy stuff and its not that funny".
Angry Birds FIGHT! was one the best games ever and it spawned a fantastic movie. Rovio has gone downhill since and they had potential for a ton of sequels but there is no way I will pay money to see this in a theater. Maybe as a dollar DVD rental, thats it,

SYNOPSIS:

REVIEW: Okay, how are these movies so entertaining? Honestly? I went into the first Angry Birds movie expecting nothing and I ended up being pleasantly surprised and now I watch this one and it may even be better. The little parallel story going on with the 3 chicks were great as well as the main plot line. There are so many jokes that hit so well for adults as well. There are a category of films that have a children's demographic, but an adult can enjoy as well. Film like this and The LEGO Batman movie which are short, have kid jokes that aren't overly corny and throw in jokes for the adults as well. It's funny, because they're childish immature jokes, but also have inappropriate connotations so it makes it funnier since it's in a children's movie and they're completely oblivious. Every character here serves a purpose to the story and I had a blast the whole time. 7.1/10.

I don't remember much from the first movie but I do remember that Red, the main male character, was a rational character who always had a plan and was instrumental in the birds getting their eggs back. In this movie however, he is reduced to an incompetent buffoon just so his love interest and main female character, Silver can look good by comparison. Silver is easily the most unlikable character in the whole movie and is not even funny. She is also kind of a Mary Sue which makes her character incredibly boring. I would rate this a 2/10 but the other male characters like Bomb and Chuck made the movie at least bearable with their funny antics. I have nothing against strong female characters if they are written well and not shoe-horned in like in this movie.

Well, honestly, for being one of those products that directly seeks to lecture you against masculine self-centeredness, while also putting the female opposite on a better level, like Red vs Silver and in some ways, even Mighty Eagle vs Zeta... I have to admit they did a decent job. The group is bigger, more varied, there is more madness, and thanks to the light atmosphere, certain things never lapse into real dislike. Unfortunately there are still bad vulgar scenes, too brazen, similar to the previous ones (with the mouth, going to the bathroom, etc.) and unnecessary.
I'd say it's on the level of the first movie , maybe slightly more fun. Neither film, however, is at the top of the titles that I would show a son or a little brother.

A film that opens towards the end. The first scenes were really boring and ridiculous, but after the second half of the film, it really became clear. Music selections, funny scenes, dialogues were fine. It's a nice sequel. It's better than the first movie.

The birds and pigs are still enemies, but their feud is less serious now. They had to join forces to defeat another enemy: an eagle (or secretary bird) on another island launching ice balls at both islands.
It was somewhat funny. Some of the humor was as crass as it was in the first. I could see how it would offend some sensibilities. AB2 isn't an essential movie, so do your due diligence and enjoy. Or not.

This movie is a big disappointment. I wonder how great this series could be if prepared nicely, but now it is all lost. The story was bad and the most important thing there was no anger at all in angry birds🙄. Really I mean if even red is not angry, how you can call them angry birds. Now the situation is more worse and I don't think I will ever ask for a sequel. The first film was much above this one.

A family drama and kids entertainer. Without the prior knowledge of its predecessor, the story holds strong as well as aligned.
Background music/score is EPIC. It's like watching a sitcom with some of the best SONGS in the history being played.
Screenplay was applaudable with tons of improvisation and Bollywood references by the Dub Artist KAPIL SHARMA, KIKU SHARDA and ARCHANA PURAN SINGH.
Animation by DreamWorks has always been classic but always faced compition from Pixar, Disney (Animation), Universal (Animation) etc.
DreamWorks was repeatitive with its concept from the Ice-Age and Despecible Me which was the only let down. Also the story was predictable yet stayed funny throughout.

Ok, so my review would be biased, I'm a dad taking her daughter to the movie, and I will be totally honest, I really wasn't excited about watching it, however my daughter was, so off we went to see it.
Halfway through my daughter wakes me up and says, Dad, I'm bored with this movie can I go home. Enough said if she even found it to be a waste of time.

It's 2019, mobile games have evolved and Angry Birds is apparently still a thing. As shocking as this might sound, the sequel to the critically divisive 2016 CGI adventure actually improves on the first.
Some time after the events of the first film, Pig King Leonard (Bill Hader) has waged war against the Angry Birds for the devastation of Piggy Island. However, when Piggy Island is hit with a massive ice ball, Leonard discovers a third island. This new location is overseen by Zeta (Leslie Jones), a vengeful eagle.
Now seeking a truce with the Birds, Leonard and the Pigs need their help in stopping Zeta's reign of terror. Red (Jason Sudeikis) is skeptical but agrees on the condition of once again playing hero.
Gathering the team together -- including hyperactive speedster Chuck (Josh Gad), ticking time bomb known as, well, Bomb (Danny McBride), Leonard's assistant Courtney (Awkwafina), and Pig inventor Garry (Sterling K. Brown) -- they realize that they're missing a brainiac, who emerges in the form of Silver (Rachel Bloom), Chuck's little sister, whose banter with Red has very obvious romantic tension.

I hate when you go and see a sequel and its Director from the original is not present and we now have some one who clearly hasn't seen the first movie which was a blast!! Writing, well this is terrible , plot not original and characters are nothing like themselves. I loved laughing at scenes with my kids in the original as it was so cleaver in how it was written and delivered. In this sequel it is not funny at all and i actually fell asleep twice due to it being so boring!
Clearly This director wanted to please stuck up parents and deliver a message , i hate to say it , we have enough of those already. Such a shame......
