Siskel & Ebert (1990)
Season 5, Episode 2
This episode takes a look at Martin Scorsese's GOODFELLAS, THE TALL GUY, Gene Wilder's disaster FUNNY ABOUT LOVE and NARROW MARGIN. If you're a fan of the show then obviously this here is a very fun episode to watch. I say that because of the love shown to the Scorsese film but also because of their hatred for FUNNY ABOUT LOVE, which results in some very funny stuff and makes you want to actually watch the picture. There's also a discussion on Spike Lee's MO BETTER BLUES, which was being attacked for some of the scenes in the film. This leads to a good discussion about racial stereotypes in films and of course, it makes you wonder about various issues that Lee had with Quentin Tarantino in future years.
