‘Elite’ Producer Zeta Studios Taps Marcelo Tamburri as Director of International Content (Exclusive)
Marking its first corporate step in international expansion outside Spain, Madrid-based Zeta Studios, producer of “Elite” and “García!” has named Marcelo Tamburri, one of Latin America’s preeminent TV execs, to the newly-created position of director of international content.
Spun off from the sale of publishing house Grupo Zeta to Prensa Ibérica in 2019, and rebranded from Zeta Audiovisual, when it comes to individual titles., Zeta Studios boasts one of the biggest international reaches of any production house in Spain.
The appointment comes as Netflix preps the bow of “Elite” Season 7 on Oct. 20, making “Elite” one of the longest-running of streamer series and one of the most successful from outside the U.S., its Seasons 3 and 4 ranking in Netflix’s Top 10 of most-viewed non-English series ever on the Ott service with 334.8 million and 302.2 million hours viewed.

“The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss is exiting the reality TV franchise after 20 years, TheWrap has learned.
Following Fleiss’ exit, two former showrunners of “The Bachelor,” Claire Freeland, who previously served as showrunner of Canada’s “The Bachelor” franchise, and Jason Ehrlich, who previously showran several seasons of “The Bachelor,” as well as longtime executive producer Bennett Graebner will step in as executive producers and showrunners for “The Bachelor” franchise. The team has already been working on new season of “The Bachelorette,” led by Charity Lawson.
Monday’s finale of “The Bachelor” Season 27, headed by leading man Zach Shallcross, marked Fleiss’ last season with Bachelor Nation.

Netflix has released its weekly Top 10 global streaming charts for the week of March 6, which includes both Netflix productions and other films and series airing on the streamer across the globe.
Idris Elba returned as his popular BBC character Luther for Netflix’s “Luther: The Fallen Sun,” which debuted on the channel on March 10 and immediately entered the charts in first place with 65.9 total hours viewed. It was the #1 viewed movie in just about every country in which it was released, other than South Korea and a few other Asian countries.
Also entering the chart at #2 was Vanessa Jopp‘s dramedy “Faraway,” starring Naomi Krauss, which is partially in English. It claimed 21.8 million hours viewed, putting it into the top 10 in 76 countries.
