Greer tells Ryan the story of Flight 77 which was crashed into the pentagon. This story seems to be referring to gate agent Vaughn Allex and is partially true. Upon realizing that flight 77 had been hijacked he came to the conclusion that it was the last two passengers he had checked in and gave boarding passes to. When he spoke to the FBI he said "I did it, didn't I?" They asked "what did you do?" Allex replied "I checked in those hijackers." For years Allex had been riddled with guilt but ended up joining and standing up the TSA which took over security from the airlines.
