I did not feel spoiled watching this one

Warning: Spoilers
The title "Massive Attack: The Spoils" already mentions the band and song we get to hear in here. It's a music video from last year (2016) that runs for 6 minutes roughly and features 2-time Academy-Award winner Cate Blanchett and it's nothing uncommon for Massive Attack as another 2016 video by them featured Rosamund Pike. But this one here is probably as forgettable as the one with Pike in it. I would even say that in this one here, there is a slight aura of pretense to it. Luckily the audio is better as the song, the instrumental part as well as Hope Sandoval's singing get better and better the longer it goes. Still overall I just wasn't too impressed taking everything into account. The attempt at artistry in terms of the visual side was there, but it stays an attempt unfortunately. And this statement comes from somebody who likes Cate Blanchett and I thought she was tremendous in Blue Jasmine for example. So with her starring in here, this was a bit of a missed opportunity to achieve something good. I guess you should just listen to the record and ignore this music video.
