Bread and Circuses

Warning: Spoilers
Nothing special about this episode, but despite the apparent reset of the virus and slight reboot, even an episode that doesn't feature anything standout worthy is still worth checking out. This kept me entertained. Right amount of drama, right amount of action.

I know season 4 is getting some flack on the internet, but I am enjoying it thus far.

A Great Show Became a Crappy Show
stratus_phere27 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This is where I get off the crap train. If you can't take the shot, why even go to the party? I assume it's just really, really, really crappy writers who somehow got loose from the crap writers asylum. But how can trained professionals get so close to getting their prize, so close to shooting the bad guy, and then just not do it?

At this point, I have no plans to watch this show again. What I've noticed in most TV shows is that they usually peak around seasons 2-3, and then it's all downhill from there. I don't have any expectations that this show will ever get any better, so I have no plans to ever watch it again.

A boring one
tenshi_ippikiookami11 October 2017
The least inspired episode of season 4 so far, "Bread and Circuses" has a mini-coliseum fighting arena, some suspect acting and a plot that goes in circles to end... well, you know the shape of a circle.

Chandler continues his career as a boxer, with a side job as a spy. It makes no sense, but, well, OK, let's accept it. The Nathan James's crew searches for the seeds, but fails miserable in its job. Of course, the bad guys get the seeds and, well... they are going to sell them. Anyone can infer to whom are they planning to sell the seeds.

The episode is, to put it simply, boring. The fights are tiresome after three episodes of them, Chandler is not in so great a shape as to be invincible, and his arc makes no much sense (in particular, his boss's love for him). And the search of the seeds lacks energy and it is not gripping enough. It is just an excuse for ho-hum shootings, with little intensity or passion in the proceedings. Let's see how this continues, but without heart, bread and circuses will not be enough to keep the viewer's interest.

Unbelievable

Warning: Spoilers
U.S. Military Special Operations Forces do NOT do Covert Operations without dyeing their blonde hair, red hair or other color hair than black hair, black or very dark brown. Dye their skin with a waterproof near permanent skin dye. And even after dyeing their hair and skin with dyes believed to cause Cancer, wear Shemagh with sunglasses if they have other than brown eyes.

U.S. Military Special Operations Forces do NOT walk that fast 9 minutes 49 seconds nor act boastful when going into a "Potentially Hostile" Town or Village, you may as well as stand in a crowd and do side straddle hops ("jumping jacks") and scream I am an American so that all the Armed Villagers will come out and "play" with you, instead U.S. Military Special Operations Forces imitate what they see as normal to blend in.

Most "Middle Easterners", "North Africans" of Arabic Ancestry are NOT over 6 feet tall, meaning that most U.S. Military Special Operations Forces to blend in must stoop over (so much fun to watch), this is why Osama Bin Laden was so easy to detect because he was over 6 feet tall.

Rescue Recapture Recovery Operations are all about Location, Location, Location. Fully Trained, Experienced U.S. Military Special Operations Forces including the CIA's Special Activities Directorate and Special Operations Group, know this, and would have positioned themselves to have multiple previously planned intercept locations, and multiple previously planned sniper locations (unlike 11 minutes 41 seconds to 13 minutes 24 seconds), and a Pursuit Team. Covering Fires previously planned in this case including air to ground, ship to shore. Opportunity Exploitation Plans and many Contingency Plans.

Most U.S. Military know to disable most Helicopters, you throw something like a pipe, steel rifle into the rear tail rotor and that Helicopter is kaput, not going anywhere.

13 minutes 47 seconds to 13 minutes 53 minutes, nope, the order to stand down would not have been given due to children showing up, and the order to execute (shoot) would have been given as the children's height would have not made them collateral damage, and in the confusion of the children running away screaming, the Designated Recovery Team would have grabbed the seeds, and at close range if necessary shot and killed the others while being given sniper and possible covering fires from previously planned locations to terminate the four guards. An RPG-7 would be used to then destroy the Helicopter and the other Hostiles. In the created confusion the UH-1 Huey is already en-route to an extraction point.

15 minutes 25 seconds, sticking a tracking device to a non magnetic oiled hydraulic stainless steel landing strut....Really. Tracking Device signals are usually blocked by the aluminum metal skin of an aircraft this is intentional to make aircraft almost lighting strike proof, cellular phone signals used to be blocked also until they put in cellular relays and WiFi relays. These aircraft cellular relays allowed the victim passengers of the 9/11 2001 Aircraft to make the cellphone calls.

Stereotype of Omar, most Arab Nations, Muslim Nations pay for a Free College and or University Education Worldwide up to and not limited Post Graduate Medical Doctor Degrees, International Law Degrees, Engineering Degrees. And pay for Food, Housing, Transportation, and even provide extra "spending Money".

Command and Control, most U.S. Military Special Operations Forces and CIA are trained to use designated numbers or call signs and not rely on recognition of Team Members voices.

Worst episode yet....
codycball27 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Don't really feel like writing an entire review. Just disappointed after watching this episode and wanted to vent. This was easily one of the worst episodes yet. Of course the evil woman has a blade. Of course the CO drops his gun. Of course the wound looks like it's not even bleeding. Of course it I felt betrayed.
