It seems like taking off your pants and hitting the Grammy Awards stage in only your underwear is a new trend for 2017.
Musical duo Twenty One Pilots, best known for their hit songs “Heathens” and “Stressed Out,” beat out The Chainsmokers, Rihanna and Drake, winning the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and took off their pants to accept their award.
As the duo stepped on stage in only their boxers, lead vocalist and keyboardist Tyler Joseph explained why they went without pants to accept their statue.

The Grammy Awards bring out the most buzzed about celebrities each year—both in the music industry and on social media.
Now the annual awards show is almost upon us, leading many to speculate on which nominees will take home the coveted gramophone statuettes.
But what would happen if Instagram—instead of the Recording Academy—were to determine the award winners based on their total numbers of likes, comments and mentions?
Well for starters, it’s no surprise that social media queens Beyoncé, Adele and Ariana Grande would get some serious praise.

We’re now into December, and that means best of lists, videos, mixes and more are going to start arriving at a furious pace. It’s that time of year when everyone recaps the past 12 months, and it results in some pretty entertaining pieces of content to consume.
No stranger to this is DJ Earworm, who’s been releasing mashups for quite some time now. Perhaps his most notable work though is United State of Pop, an annual mix of the hottest songs from the last 365 days. It’s something fans look forward to all year and now, the producer has finally dropped the 2016 version.
Mixed into a smooth and enjoyable 4 minute track, Earworm throws in tunes from artists like Calvin Harris, Drake, Flo Rida, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and more, ensuring that there’s a little bit of everything in there. Of course, a big part of...

You’ve heard what Twenty One Pilots sound like in the studio, and now you get to hear what they sound like live … if you’ve never seen them live in person before, of course. The alternative pop/rock band that’s been sweeping the nation with “Heathens” and “Ride” will be releasing their first live record, simply titled, Blurryface Live, on November 25th.
There’s a catch: it seems as though this release is going to be vinyl only without even a digital download option, so you’re going to need to bust out your record player (or buy one) in order to listen to the collection. The album was recorded live when they performed at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA and sports 17 songs featuring all of their well-known hits. You even get some fun surprises, like the addition of a medley mashup that the guys do all too well.

Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha recently hit the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge for a chilling performance of their collaboration “In The Name Of Love,” while offering up a special treat for fans as they played a cover of Twenty One Pilots’ smash hit “Heathens.” Garrix and Rexha had previously delivered a live rendition of “In The Name Of Love” on The Tonight Show which saw the Dutch DJ out of the mixing booth and behind a guitar, and they utilize a similar setup for the BBC Lounge performance.
Backed by a full live band and Garrix’s own fretwork, Rexha takes to the mic to voice the familiar hooks from Twenty One Pilots’ hit single. Her alluring vocals work surprisingly well with the song, ringing out over the crash of live drums, distorted guitar strums and plodding piano chords.

The 42nd season of legendary sketch comedy series, Saturday Night Live, is fast approaching, and the musical line-up is already looking pretty fantastic. Last week, it was announced that The Weeknd would be performing “Starboy” and more on the season premiere, and now, Twenty One Pilots say they’ll be taking the stage on the following episode on October 8th.

History in the making? “Hamilton” composer, lyricist and star Lin-Manuel Miranda has been booked to host the October 8 “Saturday Night Live.” The Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize-award winner will be joined by Twenty One Pilots, which is also making their “SNL” debut as musical guest that evening. That duo — Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun — recently became the first alternative group ever with two simultaneous singles in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100: “Ride,” from their multi-platinum studio album “Blurryface,” and “Heathens,” from “Suicide Squad: The Album.” Also Read: Who Will Play President Obama on 'SNL' With Jay Pharoah.

Twenty One Pilots are taking the music industry by storm. Not only are they consistently in the top ten of the Billboard 200 chart week after week, but they’re straight up accomplishing things that no band has before – especially when it comes to their singles.
The rock act is making history on the charts this week with their songs “Ride” and “Heathens,” becoming the first band to reach number one on the Pop Songs chart and Alternative Songs chart simultaneously. Unlike the Hot 100 chart which is measured by radio play audience, sales data and streaming activity, the Pop and Alternative Songs charts are measured strictly by radio play. Basically, Twenty One Pilots are selling a ton of records, and they’re being played a lot on the radio.
Now, this isn’t the first time that a band has ruled the Pop and Alternative charts at the same time, but...

Suicide Squad is killing the charts when it comes to the box office, and it’s killing the charts on Billboard, too. The soundtrack to the film is now atop the Billboard 200 chart for a second consecutive week.
Despite the album’s number one showing, it actually had a massive drop off in terms of sales, as it only moved a total of 93,000 equivalent album units compared to its debut of 182,000. It’s reported that 50,000 of the sales this week came from traditional albums, while the rest stemmed from various streaming outlets.
Regardless, the star-studded tracklisting featuring the likes of Panic! At the Disco, Eminem and Skrillex is holding its own with several individual songs commanding the Billboard Hot 100 chart: Twenty One Pilots’ “Heathens” and Lil Wayne’s “Sucker for Pain” stand at number four and number fifteen on the singles list, respectively.
