A well crafted indie movie

The story is pretty much what the tag line says, so I won't go into any more detail about that. Part of my reason for watching was that the set up sounded interesting enough, and it also had zero reviews at the time, which always adds another dimension of the unknown to a movie.

It's a short movie at 80mins and gives us a glimpse into these two miserable lives. Both the lead actors do a fine and convincing job with their roles.

The only problem I have now is the IMDB 600 character minimum review length. Can we shorted that please IMDB people? I know you don't want 'it was great' type reviews but 600 is a bit over the top.

Buck Run is a story about a boy (Shaw) who loses his mother (debt ridden) and lives with his father afterwards (Will) who is friends with John (perhaps a military veteran as with Will) and has a disturbing past and selfish present yet we can see humanity in through the actor's amazing wee hints through his smile at times.

This movie highlights and focuses on Humanity and Nostalgia, the bad and the good.

The police officer who checks up on him.

His father's selfishness constantly brought up.

Shaw's care for his mother.

Shaw's bully's theft and horridness.

Robbie's and his father's care in times of need.

It constantly puts at the forward the message of humanity's quirks.

Whilst the Mummy seems to be rushed at the end and could have benefited from a larger story, it still manages to appeal to me.

The music such as Gymnopedie No.1 which plays a few times is nostalgic. A constant reminder of his mother.

The movie aims to be deeply grim and somewhat out of the scene with its honest confrontations.

This movie made my heartbeat, it is rare for that. This movie seems to be uncared for, it is deserving of more praise and requires more attention to it for further review.

A fantastic movie to learn from struggle and trauma.
