Warning: Spoilers
This was not quite as good as the first episode. They dove right into this group of protesters and turned them into people ready to kill. I wish we had a bit more character development because it just does not seem probable that this leap would happen so quickly. This is still a captivating TV series and Showtime deserves thanks for working with Sky to bring it to us.

Having been underwhelmed with the first episode, I thought the second episode was better. I certainly appreciated the period setting more.

I also noticed DCI Pence's accent, it turns out he is Rhodesian. I like the idea that the Metropolitan police had to import racist cops from abroad because they were not up to the job themselves!

Still Pence shows the Met Police how to brutalise the black community and bully women. Even Pence's assistant has doubts about his methods.

Lovers Jas and Marcus are now hiding from the police and in over their heads. They are political idealists but they need funding. There is a scene where Marcus looks to get funding from a European terrorist group only to be rebuffed.

Meanwhile Jas's ex lover, Kent (Idris Elba) still thinks there is a better way to achieve equality than violence but with people like Pence about it is difficult.
