The first version of the film was approximately 145 minutes long. Alexandre Vallès cut 35 minutes out to make Boulevard Voltaire (2017) fit into a two-hour frame. Some of the deleted scenes can be seen in the movie's trailer.
The film takes place between Wednesday, 11 November 2015 and Friday, 13 November 2015, and is the first film that deals with the horrible terrorist attacks on Paris.

After Anna Karina withdrew from the project, Christine Kaufmann offered to take over her role as a favor to André Schneider who was a personal friend of hers. However, Alexandre Vallès cast Fifi Chachnil in the part. It would have been Kaufmann's last movie: she died in March 2017, only five months after filming took place.
