By all means, Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana would stay on to be one of the career defining films for Kriti Kharbanda. Though she had done quite a few films in Hindi as well as South languages over the years, it was the romantic drama with Rajkummar Rao that saw quite some recognition coming the way of the young actress. By playing the character of Aarti Shukla, Kriti pretty much ensured that the film would be remembered for years to come.
Now she is set to gain something similar coming out of Taish as well which has her playing the part of a Pakistani doctor Arfa.
“While Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana was a film about a couple which goes through a roller coaster ride en route their marriage, Taish is more of an ensemble affair. However, this too is centered on a wedding and what goes wrong subsequently. There are quite...

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is gearing up to release yet another horror film, titled "Ghost", and he says the only time he feels scared is when his horror films don't work.
"I feel every director likes a certain kind of sensation or emotion. Some like to make people laugh, some like to make people cry. I like to scare people. I call myself a fear peddler. People who like excitement and adventure watch my films. I think somebody has to be there to make horror films. There are times when I feel scared when my horror films don't work at box-office, but this time around with the release of 'Ghost', I hope I will not feel scared," said Bhatt, while interacting with the media at a promotional event of "Ghost" on Tuesday in Mumbai.

Over the years, there have been countless sequels that have hit the screens. Many have been successful, some have just not risen up to the occasion. Some have dropped the anchor after second in the series itself, while a select few have moved on to the third in the series as well. There have been very rare franchises though that have moved on to the fourth installment, Raaz Reboot being the one that released last year and Golmaal 4 which has now gone on floors.
However, seldom has one actually come across a series where the story has practically moved from first to the third part, and that too with not just the same characters but even the same set up as well as definite continuation of the story. While that has happened in the past with Krrish 3, it is now all set to happen for Sarkar 3 as well.

2016 was a horrible year for sequels as Rock On 2, Tum Bin 2, Raaz Reboot, Ghayal Once Again and Great Grand Masti folded up in quick time. They couldn’t even do half the business of what the last instalment had done. There was something terribly wrong in the whole concept of sequels and thereRead More

It is turning out to be a win-win situation for horror-musical flick Saansein – The Last Breath. The film was originally slated to release on 11th November alongside two sequels Rock On 2 and Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur, as well as a couple of other smaller films. While that would have resulted in the Rajiv S. Ruia directed film to be trapped alongside a huge crowd, there would also have been a struggle to get the right screens. Well, now that it is arriving on 25th November instead, the situation is much better for the film since it is getting the right mix of multiplex as well as single screens.
“The film is looking at a 50-50 split now and if all goes well as per plans, it would fetch a very substantial count of screens,” informs our trade source, “Dear Zindagi is a major release of the...

Raaz Reboot
Starring Emraan Hashmi, Gaurav Arora, Kriti Kharbanda
Directed by Vikram Bhatt
When in Romania, do as the Romanians do?? Well, sort of. The latest instalment of the Raaz franchise, and by far the most gripping—if you like that sort of a thing—since the first Raaz film in 2002, is shot with subdued splendor by Manoj Soni, in the snowswept landscape of Romania. This novel location lends a beguiling bleakness to what could easily have been yet another bland spook-fest from the horror-house of the Bhatts.
But Raaz Reboot(Re-Bhoot?) is more gripping than the two earlier instalments of the Raaz franchise which suffered for the want of a tight plotting. Raaz Reboot is also a direct descendent of the original Raaz film which, to nudge moviegoers’ memories, scored big in the year of Sanjay Bhansali’s Devdas. In that husband Dino Morea had a terrible secret up his sleeves,...

Emraan Hashmi may not believe in ghosts, but that didn’t keep him from going on a ghost-hunting spree in a haunted house in Mumbai’s suburban area. With the release date of ‘Raaz Reboot’ drawing closer, Emraan tried his luck in finding a ghost. For it, Emraan even met realghost-hunters from Indian Paranormal Society and his mission as a hunter started. He was heard saying, “I am a sucker for horror films, I am a sucker for ghosts.” Interestingly, while the actor has done several horror films on reel, in real he still doesn’t believe in ghosts and that’s also why he once again thought of trying to find one in real life as well.
On the other hand, Emraan’s ‘Raaz Reboot’ director Vikram Bhatt is not only a firm believer but has also experienced several paranormal phenomena himself. “For the last 10 years I have had...

Vikram Bhatt’s shocking confession: Spirits talk to me
Vikram Bhatt left everyone shocked and baffled at a Raaz Reboot event recently when he made a startling revelation about his connection with the ‘other’ world.
The director of Raaz Reboot shared a rather eerie incident with those present. Admitting that his spiritual journey coincided with his Raaz journey, Vikram recalled how during his quest for spirituality he was contacted by an Indian girl based in Thailand.
“She reached out to me online and told me that her spirit guides had asked her to connect with me and help me. It was bizarre! I have yet to figure out how she knew about my inner turmoil. Emraan Hashmi has been associated with horror genre for long, and will soon be exploring the spooky realm with “Raaz Reboot”. The actor says most of the stars shrug off the genre thinking that it “doesn’t get a place in the archive of path-breaking cinema”.
“I would say the general perception is horror doesn’t get a place in the archive of path-breaking cinema even in Hollywood. That’s the truth … I am doing it purely because of the genre,” Emraan told Ians.
He added: “It is one of the genres that has a very different kind of reaction from the audience and I find it fascinating.”
Emraan has been associated with horror genre through “Raaz” franchise and “Ek Thi Daayan”.

If there’s one person besides Vikram Bhatt whose association with ‘Raaz Reboot’ goes back a long way to the franchise of ‘Raaz’ then its Emraan Hashmi! The actor who is starring in the fourth installment of the hit horror franchise had also starred in the previous two ‘Raaz’ films. And though the actor did not star in the first Bipasha Basu-Dino Morea film, Emraan was the assistant director on it.
So, naturally working on the film’s fourth installment with Vikram is rather special for Emraan, who feels that it’s not only Vikram and him, who have come a long way since their first ‘Raaz’ together. In fact, the franchise too has forged ahead – constantly upping the scare quotient – and with this one there’re added doses of music and romance, both of which are Emraan’s domain.

A while back there were reports in the media that claimed the upcoming Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora starrer Razz Reboot was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (Cbfc) without any cuts. However, now we hear that the film, which received an 'A' censor certificate, did come under scrutiny and had to undergo a few cuts.
Apparently, in the film, actress Kriti Kharbanda's character gets possessed by a demon after which she screams out the 'F' word a total of thirty five (35) times. However, the Cbfc has cut this sequence down by half, while at the same time the makers of the film have replaced the other half with another word. Confirming the same, Mukesh Bhatt says, "Yes Kriti's character does say the 'F' word 35 times, however that has been cut down by the Cbfc to half and the word has been replaced by something else.

Coming from the Bhatt camp is the fourth installment of the horror franchise Raaz Reboot and a glimpse of the chills in the film was already seen in the trailer. The film, which was currently at the CBFC, has been passed with an 'A' certification and no cuts.
Thrilled about the decision, producer Mukesh Bhatt maintained that the film hasn't been made with intention of titillating anyone and that it is all about good content. Expressing his happiness over the CBFC certification, he also stated that when a woman member of the board complimented him about the film, he was extremely touched because it came from a lady for an adult film, which is rare. On the other hand, Vikram Bhatt who has directed the film too added that an 'A' certificate is important because whenever there is a 'U/A' certificate people tend to believe that there is nothing in the film.

Shooting for Bhushan Kumar’s ‘Raaz Reboot’ was literally a chilling experience for Gaurav Arora. The actor shares that for the Vikram Bhatt directed film they shot in temperatures as low as -18 degrees that gave the entire cast and crew chills of the cold kinds.
Gaurav says, “It was the first time that I actually experienced snow fall and I loved every minute of it until it came to shooting.”
Elaborating further he adds that they were dressed for the scene and not for the cold. “The scene required me to smile in a certain way. And midway of the shot I realised that my face wouldn’t move and was frozen with a smile. I had a lock jaw because of the freezing cold. So yes it was actually a chilling experience,” smiles the actor.

Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz Reboot’ is rather special for the film’s heroine Kriti Kharbanda for more reasons than one. Not only does the film mark the South star’s Bollywood debut, but this is also her first ever horror film and the first film that she has dubbed for! Yes, the actress with several superhits down South to her credit had never dubbed for her own voice before Rr and Kriti shares that it is more difficult than acting!
Kriti says, “Dubbing for ‘Raaz Reboot’ was my first dubbing experience as all of my films in South were dubbed since I don’t speak those languages. And I really think that dubbing is more difficult than acting. While acting, you just go with the flow of what you are feeling and emoting, but dubbing requires recreating and reliving every emotion again. So, it better match up to the performance or up it.
