The revival of the American spirit
'The Reagan Revolution' tackles the 40th presidency as a chronological narrative, charting the man's peaks and valleys in the White House. And it's a great story, in the Hollywood sense.
I was still in utero when he won the '80 election, but here's the thing: had I been of age, I probably would've voted for him. And I say this in spite of his deification by the right during the last 30 years and the acute case of rose-tinted glasses. The guy could really give a speech, and his cheerleading came at just the right time. That's how effective he was on the stage and that's why this is the best episode I've seen of these CNN miniseries.
It's when a roller-coaster story makes for excellent TV.
9/10

Not what he appeared
This a one-sided production in the worst manner of CNN. It glamorizes Reagan. Most of the comments are from his supporters and administration. There is no critical voice given to his policies.
