Trucker Andreas Blum died from cardiac arrest, beaten and tied to a gas station. Blum was separated due to drug addiction from his vindictive wife Jennifer and their three school age sons. Neighbor Frieda Stöcker knows he was away that night and heard noise in the house after his death. He had a box without legally required marking of beluga caviar from local producer Rem Steinert, whom he met in drug rehab. Speed is found in his home. Blum's choleric former employer Klaus Hartwich, who prevented him finding employment as driver elsewhere, is also Jennifer's present lover.
