The wait for the last-ever episodes of Yellowstone has been excruciating, but we now know when the final episodes are set to air.
Paramount Network confirmed Thursday that the second half of Yellowstone Season 5 is set to premiere in November 2024.
While the episodes were initially set to premiere this summer, Kevin Costner's availability, as well as the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, took the series out of contention for a 2023 return date.
Yellowstone tells the sprawling story of the Dutton family, and the series doesn't exactly have a fast turnaround time when it comes to production.
Amid alleged behind-the-scenes drama, Paramount confirmed earlier this year that the red-hot series would end with these final episodes of the season.
Before the series ending announcement, six episodes remained of Yellowstone Season 5, but there's a good chance that will change now that the last-minute decision to end the show has been made.

The behind-the-scenes drama has been almost as juicy as what’s been on the screen when it comes to the Dutton family over the past year, but it finally appears as though there is some closure for the soapy saga of “Yellowstone’s” delayed fifth season. Cable television’s most popular show first began airing Season 5 episodes nearly one year ago with the plan to air the back half of the season in summer 2023, but dual Hollywood strikes and a growing feud between creator Taylor Sheridan and leading man Kevin Costner put a stop to that. Now, Deadline is reporting that the remaining “Yellowstone” Season 5 episodes — which will be its last — will finally air on Paramount Network in November 2024, two years after the season began.
The most popular show on TV will officially end next fall. The modern-day spin-off, reportedly starring Matthew McConaughey will be called “2024” and will premiere in December of next year.

“Yellowstone” will come to an end in a year, as Paramount Network has set a November 2024 premiere date for the final episodes of Season 5 that will mark the conclusion of the blockbuster Taylor Sheridan series.
But what is dead may never die — Paramount Network also ordered up two additional spin-offs, “1944” and “2024.” Plot details are under wraps, but the latter spin-off could very well be the new “Yellowstone” series in the works that may star Matthew McConaughey.
All “Yellowstone” series are produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.
The fifth and final season of “Yellowstone” was originally scheduled to air this year, but production schedules were shifted due to the strikes and other hurdles. The first half of the season started airing in November 2022 and concluded in January, and by that point the second half of the season was aiming to air in the fall of 2023.

It was announced in May that Taylor Sheridan’s megahit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” would be ending with its fifth season. Paramount had announced prior to that the fifth season would be split into two parts. The first eight episodes aired from November 2022-January 2023. Even now, 10 years after its release, Martin Scorsese’s “Wolf of Wall Street” still inspires strong debate among those viewers who understand Scorsese’s no-holds-barred film about how Wall Street corruption and capitalism run amok can be alluring and contemptible at the same time and those who thought the movie celebrated that which it sought to condemn.
But that’s par for the course for the filmmaker, who has spent his entire career pushing audiences outside their comfort zones and asking questions of viewers that don’t have easy answers.
“I think what Marty is tapping into here — why he’s soaking you in the world — is to tweak what is in all of us, probably. The allure of this kind of easy money and excess is probably somewhere in all of us, but, fortunately, most of us don’t respond to it,” Thelma Schoonmaker, Scorsese’s Oscar-winning editor, said...

NBCUniversal still considers the Olympic Games to be “the great aggregator of viewership,” in the words of top exec Dan Lovinger, and sees 2024 revenue for Paris on pace to exceed the tally of the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Lovinger provided the outlook on Olympic ads during Advertising Week in New York, echoing recent public comments by NBCU. He said it has sold out its inventory on live coverage of the Opening Ceremony as well as all planned halftime sponsorship positions for team sports like soccer and basketball across linear, streaming and digital platforms.
The Paris Games will run from July 26 to August 11. Due to Covid, the Tokyo Games were eventually held in 2021, but many ad categories still hadn’t returned to full strength by then and live telecasts were defined by masks and empty seats, not exactly a marketer’s dream.
Digital is on a growth curve, NBCU said. In a Summer Games first,...

Ridley Scott’s epic new film “Napoleon,” arguably one of the year’s last remaining mysteries, received a new trailer on Wednesday, just about one month before its theatrical debut.
The Apple film, which arrives in theaters via Sony, has not premiered at any of the fall festivals thus far, nor has it been screened widely to members of the press and industry.
But the new trailer is certainly promising, with star Joaquin Phoenix affecting a deadpan detachment as the famed Napoleon amid scenes of typically explosive Scott action that will look familiar to fans of “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” and “Exodus: Gods and Kings.”
Here’s the logline from Sony and Apple:
‘Napoleon’ is a spectacle-filled action epic that details the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, played by Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix. Against a stunning backdrop of large-scale filmmaking orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott,...

Continuing to build anticipation for the new Martin Scorsese-directed feature “Killers of the Flower Moon” that’s being released in theaters via Paramount Pictures this Friday, Apple Original Films dropped a trailer (its third) today that gives a quick overview of the $200 million Western epic. The film focuses on the murders of a number of wealthy Osage Nation members for their oil money in 1920s Oklahoma. It reunites Scorsese with his longtime acting collaborators Leonardo DiCaprio – who plays Ernest Buckhart, the charmingly conniving husband of Osage oil heiress Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone) – and Robert De Niro, who portrays the villainous business magnate William Hale. Watch the new trailer above.
The film earned rave notices out of its Cannes Film Festival world premiere in May. It’s been at or near the top of the combined Oscar handicap odds at Gold Derby since it premiered and finds itself in second...

“Succession” wasn’t even nominated at the Screen Actors Guild Awards until its third season when it got five nominations. The HBO hit is predicted to earn five nominations again for its fourth and final season and is the frontrunner in all three drama categories, ensemble, actor and actress. Such was the case last time and it only won one award, ensemble. But with the show over and bigger than ever, can “Succession” pull off a rare drama sweep?
There have only been five drama sweeps in the SAG Awards’ 29-year history, accomplished by three shows. The first to do was “ER” in 1998, which earned individual trophies for Anthony Edwards and Julianna Margulies. “The Sopranos” achieved it for its first season in 2000 and its last season in 2008, with James Gandolfini and Edie Falco taking the actor and actress prizes, respectively, both times. “The West Wing” also pulled off double sweeps...

The film tells the real-life story of Rudolf Höss (Christian Friedel), the commandant of the Auschwitz death camp during World War II, and his wife Hedwig (Sandra Hüller), focusing on the mundane household and career concerns that preoccupy them in building their dream life together while they knowingly commit genocide on the other side of their garden wall. HBO/HBO Max was on a roll tonight, winning 12 categories more than all other networks and streamers combined. Factoring in the Creative Arts, HBO/HBO Max led the field with 38 Emmys vs. 26 for its main rival Netflix, which had a more modest haul of three trophies tonight.
The drama race was competitive, with Netflix’s global phenom Squid Game picking up two key wins, for star Lee Jung-jae and director Hwang Dong-hyuk.
“As a fan, I’m excited. I thought it was a great show,” HBO and HBO Max’s Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys told Deadline about the game-changing Korean drama at the HBO/HBO Max Emmy afterparty.
Still, it was competition, and Bloys was rooting for HBO’s Succession. The corporate/family drama and Mike White’s social satire White Lotus combined for eight of HBO/HBO Max’s 12 wins. Next year, the two shows, overseen by head of drama Francesca Orsi,...
