A profound, touchable and approachable movie

Authentic, touching film that gives an insight into foreign family structures, tells it in a touching and approachable way, so that we are looking for recognition together with the main actor. Great acting and directing!

Brilliant story writing and cinematography

The movie grips your attention all the way through. It tells a well written story of a young Ghanaian man who's old childhood friend convinces him to embarks on a rough journey through Nigeria and North Africa to get to Germany in the hopes of a better life. However, when he arrives he is met with endless challenges, doing everything to provide for his family back home. I would've loved to see more of his initial journey to Germany, but I guess that's a whole movie in itself. Eugene Boateng's performance was absolutely brilliant, hopefully we get to see him on our screens a lot more.

A unique Film

Borga is a iunique film indeed. This film is a role model for the german films to come, as it is telling a story and doesnΒ΄t reproduces stereotypes.

The cast is sublime as they all play in a very present, precise and heartful way. The well written story is about family, friendship and identification from a man who is seaching to a man who is standing on his two feets.

This is a masterpiece as it is also the result of an inteligent, divers and higly professional teamwork! Chapeau to all departments of Borga!

Best film between Africa and Germany ever.

This film manages in an outstanding way not only to build bridges between continents and cultures, but also to beautifully package true cultural challenges into a cinematic work.
