Sophistication is a good word to describe James Bond, and Henry Cavill is the literal personification of the word. Therefore, it is not really a brainer that the actor would have been the ideal choice to bring Agent 007 to life after Daniel Craig’s run. However, as things are looking right now, the ship has long sailed and the decision-makers will probably be going with another actor in his prime to play James Bond.

Henry Cavill can be seen alongside the very talented and drop-dead gorgeous Margot Robbie and the trailer is just further proof why the actor would’ve been perfect for playing the British secret agent.

Henry Cavill is being thrust back into the James Bond casting conversation on social media thanks to a viral fake movie trailer partially created by AI that imagines the former “Superman” actor as 007 and Margot Robbie as his Bond girl. In four days, the AI-generated trailer garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube and further stoked fan interest in Cavill being named the new Bond following Daniel Craig’s departure in 2021’s “No Time to Die.”
As fate would have it, Cavill’s next role is Gus March-Phillipps in Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.” March-Phillipps was a real historical figure who founded the British Army’s No. 62 Commando and who some believe inspired author Ian Fleming to create James Bond. Cavill’s history with 007 dates back to “Casino Royale,” when he auditioned for the role of 007 but lost to Craig.

Henry Cavill fans can finally see the British actor as James Bond — sorta.
A fake Bond movie trailer “starring” the former Witcher star has been racking up millions of views on YouTube despite being a total fake.
The “Bond 26” trailer introduces Cavill as the new Bond using a mix of footage from other movies and artificial intelligence. The trailer also ambitiously casts Margot Robbie as a Bond girl.
So far, the wannabe trailer has generated 2.3 million viewers, presumably driven by a mix of fans enjoying it as a “what-if” effort, along with some being fooled by it.

Although Aaron Taylor-Johnson is reportedly the frontrunner to be cast as the new James Bond, Henry Cavill isn’t giving up hope.
Henry Cavill has been a popular choice among fans to play the new James Bond and even came close to landing the role twenty years ago with Casino Royale. With The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Cavill is playing one of the men who would inspire James Bond: Gus March-Phillips. “I’m sure Ian Fleming wrote James Bond with a lot of stories, a lot of characters in mind, but as I understand it Gus March-Phillipps was one of the stronger influences,” Cavill said on The Rich Eisen Show.
When it comes to playing Bond, Cavill is still keeping hope alive, although he admits he’s not certain what’s going on. “I have no idea,” Cavill said. “All I’ve got to go off is the rumors. The same information you have.

Henry Cavill is all set to collaborate again with director Guy Ritchie on the historic action film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Based on the real-life special forces team assembled by Winston Churchill, the film has an ensemble cast along with Cavill, including Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, and Carry Elwes.
The action-heavy film has two heavy hitters in the form of Cavill and Ritchson. Actor and athlete Carl Weathers passed away yesterday at the age of 76, his family has announced. Weathers will be missed not just for the performances he gave but for the way his sense of humor made everything he was a part of better. Whether the actor was teasing Grogu for getting into trouble, appearing as a cheapskate version of himself on "Arrested Development," or voicing Combat Carl in "Toy Story 4," Weathers brought a sense of joy to each project he participated in.
In the case of the "Rocky" franchise, it felt as if the actor never really got the chance to stop playing Apollo Creed despite the character's death in "Rocky IV." His turn as the flamboyant fighter ended in 1985, but Weathers was still (understandably) asked about his part in the action series throughout the decades that followed. Mark Harmon’s initial plan in life wasn’t solely to become a famous actor. The NCIS star might’ve taken a different path if it wasn’t for a chance encounter with a stranger unhappy with his work.

“I had a bunch of different starts,” Harmon said. “I did a lot of jobs, I sold shoes, I was in law school for a little bit. I worked for Adidas for about eight months, and before that, I was doing merchandising in radio in Los Angeles.”
But perhaps the closest Harmon came to pursuing a non-acting career was carpentry.

Four years on, we’re still learning new things about The Rise of Skywalker and the behind the scenes decisions that led to the highly divisive final chapter of the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy. For some, Episode IX was a return to form for the franchise, while for others, it paled in comparison to what came before, particularly the equally divisive The Last Jedi, because it chose to play the hits instead of saying anything new about characters or their world.

Adam Driver is revealing that Kylo Ren’s arc in the Star Wars sequel trilogy was originally very different from what made the final cut!

Oh, the untapped potential of Kylo Ren. "The Force Awakens" set up Adam Driver's new masked menace as the main antagonist of the trilogy after murdering his father, Han Solo, in cold blood. In "The Last Jedi," he flirted with redemption during that epic throne room battle before rejecting the Light altogether and taking his place as the new Supreme Chancellor of the First Order. In "The Rise of Skywalker," he frustratingly takes second billing once again to a bigger threat, this time Palpatine (you know the drill) -- until he hallucinates an entire conversation with his dead dad, flips a switch back to the side of the good guys at the last minute, and shares a weirdly rushed kiss with Rey (Daisy Ridley) before dying unceremoniously. Very few liked this abrupt turn of events and fans have wondered what went wrong ever since.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens may have set the stage for a new trilogy, but it’s no secret that the subsequent sequels didn’t follow through on the original plan. Adam Driver spoke on The Rich Eisen Show and revealed that his arc as Kylo Ren was majorly changed over the course of the sequel trilogy.
Kylo Ren was eventually redeemed as Ben Solo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but Adam Driver says that wasn’t part of the original plan. “I had an overall arc that in mind that [JJ Abrams] wanted to do,” Driver said. “His idea was that [Kylo’s] journey was the opposite journey of Vader, where Vader starts the most confident and the most committed to the dark side. And then by the last movie, he’s the most vulnerable and weak. He wanted to start with the opposite. This character was the most confused and vulnerable,...

Driver has been discussing how how Kylo Ren’s character arc across the sequel trilogy was very different from the one he signed up for.
It’s been four years since the release of The Rise of Skywalker, the rather unloved end to a nine-film arc of Star Wars films that stretches all the way back to 1977. Whilst it was great to see such a long-running franchise get an ending (something we don’t always get with other long-running series such as the MCU or 007) it was a shame that the ending was, well, pretty terrible.
Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren was a key part of the film’s ensemble and whilst out promoting Michael Mann’s Ferrari, he made an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show where he chatted about the process of playing Ren over the three films. Like much of the audience, it seems that he...

Adam Driver is opening up about how his character on Star Wars: The Force Awakens evolved over time.
The actor who played Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy revealed that the villain was not originally supposed to redeem himself in the end.
“J.J. Abrams walked me through what he wanted to do with the character, but you had to sign up and be like, ‘I’m gonna do it,’ and once I did that, I went to London to star for pre-production,” Driver recalled during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show. “And it’s like, ‘there’s a tiny room down the hall, you can go in there and read the script.’ And so I was reading it for the first time.”
He continued, “I had an overall arc that in mind that [Abrams] wanted to do. His idea was that [Kylo’s] journey was the opposite journey of Vader,...

Adam Driver revealed on “The Rich Eisen Show” that his arc as Kylo Ren in “Star Wars” completed changed from its original plan over the course of his three films: “The Force Awakens” (2015), “The Last Jedi” (2017) and “The Rise of Skywalker” (2019). According to the actor, Kylo Ren was never supposed to soften up and be redeemed as Ben Solo. In fact, the original plan for the character was apparently just the opposite. Kyle Ren was supposed to become more evil during the trilogy, not a conflicted anti-hero.
“J.J. Abrams walked me through what he wanted to do with the character, but you had to sign up and be like, ‘I’m gonna do it,’ and once I did that, I went to London to star for pre-production,” Driver remembered about accepting the role. “And it’s like, ‘there’s a tiny room down the hall, you can go in there and read the script.

Adam Driver has admitted his 'Star Wars' redemption story was never part of the plan. The 'Ferrari' actor has reflected on the original idea for Kylo Ren's character arc, which would have seen the character - who was revealed to be Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) - become the opposite of Darth Vader by embracing the Dark Side of the Force rather than finding redemption through 'The Last Jedi' and 'The Rise of Skywalker'.Speaking to The Roku Channel's 'The Rich Eisen Show', Driver said: "I had an overall arc in mind that he wanted to do, which then changed."His idea was almost the opposite journey of Vader, where Vader starts the most confident, the most committed to the Dark Side, and by the last movie he's the most vulnerable, and weak,...

American Pie still remains one of the greatest movies of the 1990s, having premiered right at the tail end of the decade in 1999. It’s known mostly for its silly humor and cast members who absolutely nailed their roles. Seann William Scott, who played Steve Stifler in the film, was just one example of an excellent casting, but if you thought he made millions from the role, think again: Stifler recently revealed just how much of a paycheck he took home for his acting, and it’s not at all what you probably thought.
Jason Biggs (left) and Seann William Scott | Eduardo Parra/WireImage Steve Stifler only made ‘less than $8,000’ for ‘American Pie’
These days, we often hear about movie stars raking in millions of dollars for their big-screen appearances; people like Tom Cruise are often guaranteed upward of $20 million to appear in a film. But such was not the case for Steve Stifler,...

Christopher Nolan knows if you ain’t first, you’re last.
The “Oppenheimer” director revealed that 2006 Adam McKay-directed comedy “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” is one of his favorite films during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show.”
When asked what movies Nolan would consider to be a “remote drop,” aka if it was playing on TV, he could not change the channel, the auteur placed “Talladega Nights” next to the classics of Stanley Kubrick.
“I haven’t heard the remote drop as a phrase, that’s fantastic,” Nolan said. “There are so many. I flip around and if there’s an old movie playing…I mean, god, anything by Kubrick is a remote drop. Some of the great comedies too. I mean, ‘Talladega Nights,’ I’m never going to be able to switch that up.”
He quoted the movie adding, “If you ain’t first, you’re last.

It’s always interesting to learn the favourite movies of some of your favourite filmmakers; sometimes they’re exactly what you’d expect and other times… they’re not. While speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan was asked to name some of his favourite “remote drops,” meaning a movie you just have to watch when you stumble across it on television, and he responded with Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby.
“I mean, god, anything by [Stanley] Kubrick, you know? It’s a remote drop,” Christopher Nolan said. “And some of the great comedies too, I mean ‘Talladega Nights,’ I’m never gonna be able to switch that up.” When asked to confirm if Talladega Nights really was a Christopher Nolan remote drop movie, Nolan simply responded with a quote from the movie: “If you ain’t first, you’re last.“

Alan Ritchson fully embodied Jack Reacher while fronting the first season of Prime Video's "Reacher." But there are plenty of people behind the scenes who made the series the successful adaptation of Lee Child's book series that it was.
Producer Don Granger is one of those people. Child has spoken about how Granger, a longtime friend of the author, was the one that sealed the deal when it came to casting Ritchson, by almost immediately telling Child, "he's the guy." The producer had previously worked with both Child and Tom Cruise on the first film adaptation of the Jack Reacher novels, 2012's "Jack Reacher" and the 2016 follow-up, "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back." He'd also worked closely with Cruise since joining the actor and Paula Wagner's Cruise/Wagner Productions back in 2004, later taking his talents to Skydance Productions where he produced "Mission: Impossible — Fallout" and "Top Gun: Maverick," among other projects.

At 40 years old, Alan Ritchson is finally hitting his stride. What started with a somewhat embarrassing stint on "American Idol" is now blossoming into an impressive on-screen career, with Ritchson currently fronting the chart-topping streaming series "Reacher" on Prime Video. He's since taken his Jack Reacher muscle over to the big screen with "Fast X," and appears to be building himself into a formidable action star.
Ritchson's journey to this point included decent roles in "Smallville," "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot movies of recent years. He also formed part of the superhero team in the now-canceled "Titans," playing Hank Hall/Hawk for two seasons before being killed off in the third. But 2022's "Reacher" was arguably his breakthrough role, establishing its star as a bonafide leading man and capable action hero.

Exclusive live sports are coming to Roku, as the streaming platform plants a flag in the ground in the uber-competitive space that has traditionally been dominated by legacy TV networks.
Roku and CBS Sports have inked a deal to become the exclusive U.S. media partners for Formula E, the motorsport series featuring electric racing cars.
The deal expands CBS’ prior deal with Formula E (officially called Abb Fia Formula E World Championship), and will include five races per season on CBS, which will also stream on Paramount+.
Roku, meanwhile, will stream 11 races per season on the Roku Channel. Both the Paramount+ and Roku Channel races will be accessible through Roku’s recently-launched sports experience, which is meant to surface live sports content for Roku users.

Most fans of "True Detective" will agree that season 1 was a high point for Nic Pizzolatto's crime drama. The fastidious show creator and writer maintained tight control over the series for its first three seasons, which often caused problems for the directors — especially Cary Fukunaga. For "True Detective" season 4, Pizzolatto handed the reins to "Tigers Are Not Afraid" director Issa López, who can hopefully return the series to the standard established by its brilliant inaugural season.
That's going to be a tough feat. Season 1 of "True Detective" had so much going for it, it's hard to see how it could be matched, let alone bested. The eight episodes were helped tremendously by two career-best performances from leading men Woody Harrelson as Detective Marty Hart, and Matthew McConaughey as Detective Rust Cohle. Alongside some of the most layered yet consistently compelling storytelling seen in the age of the prestige drama,...

"Let me tell you a little story about acting." These are words that Carl Weathers, playing a fictionalized version of himself, once spoke as a drama coach on the sitcom "Arrested Development." Yet they could also apply to Weathers and his acting career long before "Arrested Development," the Disney+ series "The Mandalorian," or even the sci-fi action movie "Predator."
When he auditioned for the role of Apollo Creed, the heavyweight boxing champion of the world, in the first "Rocky" film, Weathers was a virtual unknown in the acting world. He already had a pro football career behind him, having played as an NFL linebacker for the Oakland Raiders before he went back to school and earned a drama degree. However, his acting résumé was limited to television and "some movies out of Aip which was then doing quote-unquote 'Blacksploitation,'" as he once put it on The Rich Eisen Show.

When we think about Oscar-winning performances, we usually refer to "transformations." Actors go on these press tours talking about how much blood, sweat, and tears went into their work. It's as if many of these people need to prove the part was difficult, arduous, and important to justify being given a golden statue for it. I do think their work is important because art is important. Obviously, I wouldn't have made it my profession to talk about how and why I think it is if I didn't. However, the self-righteousness bothers me.
Acting may be an outlet for creative expression of one's innermost thoughts and feelings, but it is also a profession. I find myself drawn to actors who, from my vantage point, do not seem overly precious about their work. These are the folks who show up, do their work extremely well, and then go have a life off the set.

Ever since AMC issued the go-ahead on Better Call Saul, speculation ran amok over the possibility of Walter White popping up in Slippin’ Jimmy’s origins story; perhaps not as the marauding alter-ego we know and fear, but a pre-Heisenberg Walter White that was more concerned about cooking breakfast and teaching chemistry than climbing to the tip-top of Albuquerque’s drug ring.

J.B. Smoove is having a very good summer. The comedian is thrilled about the recent announcement that HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” will return for a ninth season, and he cannot wait to see himself on “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” Jerry Seinfeld’s runaway hit of a web series, which premiered today on Crackle with Jim Gaffigan in the passenger’s seat.
“I don’t know what’s more fun, hearing that ‘Curb’ is back, or actually shooting the season and hearing it comes on tonight, you know what I mean?” the comedian told IndieWire by phone on Wednesday.
Known for his singular cadence, Smoove got his start on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” wrote for “Saturday Night Live” in the early aughts and became a household name with shows like “The Millers,” “’Til Death” and Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Some fans may know him best from “Curb,” but Smoove was well known to other audiences long before that.
“’Curb’ definitely opened crazy new doors and new avenues for me, a new demographic, if I may say that,” said Smoove. It also changed what was expected from him on other projects: “People are more lenient, they’d rather see your take on things since you come from an improv based show.”
Earlier this week, Smoove hinted that “Curb” might be returning for a ninth season during an appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show,” saying Larry David had gauged his interest during one of the pair’s bi-monthly phone conversations. Smoove said he would make himself available. “It’s still fun to see Larry’s damn face, always good to see Larry.”
David is not the only “Seinfeld” creator in Smoove’s life, though he is admittedly much closer with David. Smoove first met Seinfeld while doing an episode of his short-lived reality show, “The Marriage Ref.” A car fanatic, Smoove was a big fan of the web series. “Every season I’m like, ‘Damn! When is Jerry gonna call me to do this damn show?’” Call he did, and the two Jerries had a grand ‘ole time.
“My real name is Jerry, his name is Jerry. Jerries are a very particular animal. Jerries are actually the leopard of the animal species. We have a very particular pattern of things we do, a very particular style,” Smoove said.

The show has been a surprise hit. (In early episodes, almost every comedian ribs Seinfeld about doing a web show). Now in its eighth season, the previous season took the internet by storm when President Obama appeared on the first episode.
Filming is fast and pleasant, according to Smoove: “Jerry picks you up in the car, you talk about the car for a few minutes. You get in the car, you go get coffee, you sit there and you talk about life, love, career, kids, wife, anything.” That’s a pretty accurate description of what happens in each episode.
The result is a very candid conversation between two comedians at the top of their craft about what they see as the world’s greatest profession. “The comedian is that person who can take tragedy and still be able to give an audience something to go home with,” said Smoove.
The two “Seinfeld” creators are more different than they seem, according to Smoove. “Larry’s a little more neurotic, Jerry seems very outgoing and has lots of energy. You can tell when his eyes light up, certain things he loves,” Smoove said. “Larry is very observant. Larry will walk around a party with his hand in his pocket and just sit there and nod his head and watch people.” After working with both, Smoove can see why the two worked so well together. “It’s the little nuances in life, the little bits of humor that people can relate to,” he said. “That’s what made ‘Seinfeld’ so amazing which also makes ‘Curb’ so amazing.”

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” finds humor in the cringeworthy situations Larry David gets himself into. Almost every character on the show is a foil for Larry’s neuroses, but not Leon, the character Smoove plays. “Larry gets something from Leon that he can’t get from anybody else on the show. He gets honesty, he gets someone who has his back, someone who agrees with him, who can say: ‘You’re damn right, Larry.'” Some people claim the show is too painful to watch. “You know why? Because it’s too real,” says Smoove.
Smoove’s episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” will air sometime in the next eight weeks. It appears Seinfeld is just as secretive as David when it comes to his shows. Smoove has no idea what is in store for Season 9 of “Curb,” because “Larry is very secretive.” Even if he weren’t, Smoove says he never looks at the 6-7 page script outlines for the improvised show, because he “think[s] it would take the edge off the funny.”
What he can say about “Comedians in Cars” is that things will definitely get personal. “They’re gonna see a deeper side of Jb.” If his deeper side is as unique as his funny side, it’s going to be a very interesting ride.

Rapper, actor, entrepreneur … and sports reporter? Snoop Dogg revealed a new set of skills during Super Bowl week when he became a member of the media as special sports correspondent for “The Rich Eisen Show” on DirecTV’s Audience Network. Veteran sports anchor Rich Eisen threw Snoop to the wolves and sent him to the final media day before the big game. The “Reincarnated” rapper did so well that he may have earned himself a new gig on the sidelines. “I was on Rich’s show during the season and he suggested that I be a part of the media for the Super Bowl.
