On the records from the rehab center, Sherlock's mother's name is listed as May Holmes and her marital status is "Engaged to be Married". If she were not yet married to Sherlock's father, then her last name wouldn't be Holmes yet.

The newspaper being read by Morland Holmes is written in Hindi (India's official language) but it is still not readable by people who know Hindi. It is taken from some website which cannot write Hindi properly, even though the translation seems ok, after 10 attempts of reading it :)
In the opening it says Sainte-Martine, Quebec but when Soleil says "My favorite show got preempted by hockey", she intentionally pronounces the H in hockey. A true Quebecois would have said "ockey" as they don't pronounce the H.
