Tremendous

Warning: Spoilers
I have absolutely adored this show. It is so funny and quite unique. The songs are done well and they have chosen a great cast.

This episode, once again, has Weird Al playing the role of the monk. Whoever thought of having Weird Al as part of this series was brilliant. He does an amazing job. They wrapped up a few things but there is also a bit of a teaser at the end that will help with the start of season three.

I am really hoping that they bring this back next season. I had my fingers crossed at the end of season one that they would bring it back for season two. I was so happy when I found out that they did indeed make a second season. I am now crossing my fingers once again.

Pioneering show; Witty, intelligent, fun & satirical musical

Galavent was ahead of the times in 2015. Great diverse cast, chosen bc they all fit their characters,& most possess Broadway quality singing & theatre talent. The subtle & witty comedy plus charisma between the leads became a winning combo. Ones must see or read enough English history & fables to fully appreciate this. The songs are funny, catchy, & its for all ages absent any gratuitous sex, blood or violence. The writers all researched English history & mixed in a bit of modern touches for unique humor.

Sadly, so many need Simpsons in your face crude jokes that kill brain cells. Gone are well written satires about heroic legends, or any subject.

Gavalant satired the entire Camelot fable in every way. King neither evil, he just wanted to be a special king, & needed to gain power. During medieval times, this usually means war, & he needed fire power- like a dragon. Instead, he tried being sneaky since he lacked large army for his ambitions. Supporting cast is terrific too.

Why this series was cancelled when Glee & GOT got 8 seasons is beyond me. It's too much to expect networks to produce well casted, clever well written series & songs that's light hearted, not overtly in your face slap stick , ie., Beavis & Butthead; Dumb & Dumber fart, burp, toilet etc. Nonsense. Here, viewers are entertained with their brains turned on lightly, instead of repeating brain cells deaths, while watching some predictable cartoonish cookie cutter show. THIS unique show will never be made again due to extreme political agendas since 2019.

2023 Update: Ironically this fits 2022 political "woke" climate in most charming way. Pioneers' always suffer from being ahead of their time period. Hulu streams this without ads. It's still fresh & funny although I remember it well.

Unenjoyable, lame railway to the happy-end

My overall rating of "Galavant"'s Season 2: 5/10.

"Galavant" is prone to primitive writing as a whole, but this is beyond the pale, way beyond it. What a way to blow the finale - given how the previous episode was actually workable, given how the previous season's finale was actually excellent if a bit underwhelming... And when taking not only bad storytelling and lame happy-ending, but also the blatant editing issues into account...

And it wasn't "Spinster Island", it was "Spinster Mountain" - and why wouldn't she go back to Richard's former kingdom anyway?..
