Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • One boy could easily be mistaken for a 11 year old girl. Later in the series he is shown as a grown up as a father. He is believed to be targeted as one of the little girls to kill because of the ambiguous appearance.
  • When he's back in time he has weird internal feelings liking an 11 year old girl in an 11 year old boy's body with a 29 year old mind.
  • A person in the body of an 11 year old boy but with the mind of an 29 year old man is found attracted to a female 11 year old classmate. This doesn't involve anything sexual.

Violence & Gore

  • Kayo gets beaten by her mother a lot.
  • The main character attempts to throw himself off the roof of a building, but is stopped by another man. The man holds on to him but eventually lets go, watching the main character fall to his death. Emotionally disturbing. It turns out he actually faked his death to make the second man turn himself in to the police.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is an extremely intense, disturbing, and depressing series about violence towards children, with notable moments of cruelty and hatred. However, the ending is uplifting and heartwarming.
  • The antagonist is the main character's teacher so it's really disturbing to find out he wants to murder his students, especially since the character had acted like an ally for most of the series.
  • A young boy falls into a coma after being nearly drowned by a man. He wakes up about 15 years later with few memories about his past life. Because of this, the last few episodes are VERY emotional.
  • The final episode is quite emotional, but also uplifting and happy.
