King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have certainly seen their share of drama through the years. However, one thing has remained constant: their love for one another. While it landed them in hot water years ago when Charles was still married to the late Princess Diana, it now looks like it could be a major reason as to why Charles’ popularity has improved among the royals. One PR expert thinks Charles and Camilla’s “personal devotion” to one another has helped them improve their ratings.
King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles | Chris Jackson/Getty Images King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles’ ‘devotion’ to one another is admired by the public
Charles’ marriage to Camilla has certainly been a full 180 compared to the way things were with Diana. Back in the 1990s, Charles’ approval rating had basically hit rock bottom once his cheating scandal was made public. But interestingly enough, Charles...

The Island wastes no time in establishing just how evil its villain, Manuel is. As he’s talking to Nora, a singer auditioning at one of his properties, the waiter spills her drink on her. His response isn’t to fire the man but to stab him in the neck and tell the shocked woman, “Go get cleaned up, you work for me now.”
In Los Angeles Mark and his partner Phil are working undercover setting up a drug bust. This being an action film it naturally goes bad, but that’s not the worst thing Mark is going to have to deal with today. He gets a call telling him his brother has been murdered on the island where they grew up.

Prime Video got off to a fast start this summer with the release of The Boys season 3 on June 3. Now, as we enter the dog days, Prime Video is set to keep the warm weather good times rolling with a new twist on an old classic. That’s right, Amazon’s list of new releases for August 2022 is highlighted by some good old-fashioned baseball.
A League of Their Own, the TV adaptation of Penny Marshall’s 1992 movie, is set to premiere on Aug. 12. Like the movie before it, the series will dramatize the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League which saw women playing America’s pastime while the major leagues were on pause for World War II. Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) co-created the show and will star as catcher Carson Shaw.
Other Prime Video Originals of note this month include season 2 of British comedy The Outlaws on and the Ron Howard-directed Thirteen Lives,...

Prime Video will continue rolling out its summer slate in the month of August, releasing new original series, as well as a mix of suspenseful films, action movies and more.
Amazon’s series version of “A League of Their Own” will debut its eight-episode first season on Aug. 12, introducing new characters and stories set in the historical opening of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League (Aagpbl).
Ron Howard’s “Thirteen Lives” tells the real-life story of how a young boys’ soccer team was rescued from the Thai mountain cave where they got stuck for 10 days along with their coach.
Other new film arrivals include hits from earlier this summer, “The Lost City” starring Sandra Bullock, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt, as well as “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.” Academy Award-nominated film “Licorice Pizza” also arrives on Prime Video this month.
Freevee will also have new arrivals this month.

The second dictionary entry for assimilate is the most appropriate one for this movie. It says ‘regard as similar, liken’. And in Assimilate we see three friends making a web series about their town discover that their neighbours are being killed and replaced by creatures who are perfect copies of their victims. Seemingly the perfect story for some sci-fi horror.
This relatively low budget affair managed to get a good cast line-up for its lead roles. The three young characters are played by Joel Courtney, maybe best known for his first film role Super 8,; Calum Worthy, who was insanely good in one of my favourite films of the last few years Bodied and since went on to star...

July 23rd is playing host to an excellent variety of home media releases for films both new and old. In terms of recent titles, Alita: Battle Angel, Hellboy (2019), and Critters Attack! are all hitting a variety of formats this Tuesday, and for those of you who grew up during the heyday of John Hughes, Arrow Video’s special edition release of Weird Science looks to be yet another home run collection from the distributor.
Criterion is showing some love to Michael Radford’s 1984 adaptation this week (which unfortunately feels super timely these days), Scream Factory has put together another Universal Horror Collection box set, and if you happen to dig psychological thrillers from the ’90s, Pacific Heights hits Blu-ray on Tuesday as well.
Other Blu-ray and DVD releases for July 23rd include Master Z: Ip Man Legacy, Assimilate and Rock, Paper, Scissors.

"First they bite you, and then they turn into you." Gravitas Ventures has debuted an official trailer for an indie sci-fi horror titled Assimilate, also known as Replicate, from filmmaker John Murlowski. The film is about three friends making a web series about their small town who discover that their neighbors are being killed and replaced by creatures who are perfect copies of their victims. Sounds creepy - a bit like Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets Species, something like that. Starring Joel Courtney, Calum Worthy, Andi Matichak, Katherine McNamara, Cam Gigandet, Mason McNulty, Terry Dale Parks, Vito Viscuso, and Jennifer Pierce Mathus. This looks horrific. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for John Murlowski's Assimilate, direct from B-d's YouTube: In Assimilate, best friends Zach (Joel Courtney), Randy (Calum Worthy), and Kayla (Andi Matichak) discover that their neighbors are being killed and replaced by perfect copies of their victims.

Katherine McNamara of "Shadowhunters," which Freeform has announced will not return after its third season ends, will join the cast of The CW series "Arrow" in a recurring role, according to TV Line.
McNamara, who also has appeared in 'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' and 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure,' reportedly will play a thief named Maya during the seventh season of "Arrow," which premieres on Oct. 15.
In June, IMDb broke the news that McNamara will appear in 'Replicate,' a sci-fi feature directed by John Murlowski. Calum Worthy ("American Vandal"), Joel Courtney ('Super 8'), and Andi Matichak ('Halloween') also have been added to the cast of that film, which does not yet have an official release date.
Also this summer, the "Arrow" cast teased the show's potential crossover with the upcoming "Batwoman" series while visiting the IMDboat at San Diego Comic-Con. Check out the full video.

Katherine McNamara, star of the recently cancelled "Shadowhunters," is set to be seen in sci-fi thriller 'Replicate.'
The actress, best known for her role as demon-hunter Clary Fray in Freeform fantasy drama "Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments," plays a character named Hannah in 'Replicate,' a sci-fi feature directed by John Murlowski.
