The new season of “Halloween Baking Championship” is like no other cooking competition ever – because it comes with a warning label about blood, guts and gore. Yes, Season 8 is all of the above, but, of course, in a surprisingly tasty, chipper way.
“Warning: The following program contains blood, bones, and brains depicted in a way that is delicious. All the baked goods involved in the making of this show are frighteningly high in calories,” the alert plastered across a black screen at the show’s opening reads.
The popular Food Network series (which is also streaming on discovery+) sees the return of host John Hanson as the caretaker of a haunted hotel, where 12 bakers must impress the judges, chefs extraordinaire Stephanie Boswell, Carla Hall and Zac Young. If they fail, the bakers are forced to “check out” and take the elevator to the mysterious 13th floor from which guests never return.

“Ghostober,” the multi-platform spooky television event, is returning this year with more than 55 hours of new series, specials and returning shows for the Halloween season.
The programming for the event includes ghost hunts, supernatural tales and pumpkin carvings from Travel Channel, Food Network and Discovery+. “Ghostober” will feature programming starring the likes of Zak Bagans, Eli Roth, Sunny Anderson, John Henson and paranormal investigator Jack Osbourne.
“Fans have come to view ‘Ghostober’ as the unofficial start of the holiday season and with our 25+ US networks, we can promote all of its in-demand content to more than 35 of cable’s nightly primetime audience,” Kathleen Finch, chairman and chief content officer of US Networks Group at Warner Bros. Discovery, said. “Ghostober is a proven success with record levels of engagement across social media and this year we’ve increased the number of hours across our platforms to super-serve the audience. We are officially the home of Halloween.

Stephanie Boswell may have started her career as a pastry chef, but these days she’s so much more than that. Her skills in the kitchen have given her the opportunity to be on TV and she is now an official part of the entertainment industry. Over the years, she has been a judge on several shows including Chopped Sweets and Halloween Baking Championship. In addition to her talent, her personality has also made her a huge hit among fans. While she doesn’t have any upcoming TV projects in the works, we have a strong feeling that we’re going to be

All streaming services go through a down period after the excitement of Spooky Season, it’s only natural. Thankfully with its list of new releases for November 2020, Hulu is making the best out of a barren pop culture landscape.
For starters, Hulu is premiering one of its major 2020 reboots this month as Animaniacs arrives on Nov. 20. Yakko, Wakko, Dot, and the rest of the Warner gang are set to return for this long-awaited revival of the animated classic. That’s about it as far as original series go but Hulu is also premiering original movies Greta, about climate activist Greta Thunberg on Nov. 13; and Run, a horror film starring Sarah Paulson, on Nov. 20.
Still, despite all the Animaniacs, Gretas, and Sarah Paulsons, the biggest hits this month might just be on the library content side of things. November 1 sees the arrival of some major TV properties. For starters, racy British...

October is officially spooky season and it’s nice to know that some streaming services (*cough*Disney+*cough*) are taking that responsibility very seriously.
For its new releases in October 2020, Hulu is premiering the Marvel TV universe’s first-ever outright horror series. Helstrom debuts on Oct. 16 and follows Marvel Comics character Daimon Helstrom as he struggles against all manner of demonic forces. Another spooky treat arriving this month is Monsterland on Oct. 2. This anthology will feature scary stories from around the country.
On the movie side of things, Hulu is bringing out Clive Barker adaptation Books of Blood on Oct. 7 and Bad Hair on Oct. 23. Thank you, Hulu, for your spooky service.
There are a lot of non-Hulu TV shows of note arriving in October as well. The final season of Homeland will be available to stream on Oct. 26. The premiere of Saturday Night Live‘s 46th season will arrive on Oct.

We’re now just over halfway through September, so let’s turn our attention to what’s coming to Hulu next month. Every October, the streaming service celebrates “Huluween” by adding a bunch of new Halloween-themed content. And this year is no different, with countless classic movies going up on the site that you’ll want to check out to get you in the spooky mood as well as a few notable originals.
These include anthology series Monsterland (October 2nd) and horror comedy film Bad Hair (October 23rd), starring Lena Waithe, Vanessa Williams and Laverne Cox, from Dear White People director Justin Simien. Superhero fans will also want to catch supernatural-themed Marvel series Helstrom (October 16th). The final production from Marvel Television, it’s sadly already doomed to just the one season.
See below for the full list of everything that’s coming to Hulu in October:

Halloween is still a couple weeks away, but Food Network is already decking its halls with holiday content. This year, the cable channel is serving up more seasonal programming than ever, growing its themed episodes by 40% compared to 2018’s slate, and it kicked things off at the end of last month with some spooktacular specials.
The reason behind the big push into making the season brighter with more Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year’s Eve offerings is how much the shows lit up last year’s Nielsen data for Food Network, which scored its highest-rated fourth quarter since 2015 (+9% vs. prior year), largely driven by the holiday-programming lineup.
“Looking at last year’s ratings and what we had done in 2017, we definitely, in both years — and never before as aggressively as this year — have taken a big step up in the volume of content,” Food Network president Courtney White told TheWrap.

There is no point in watching a television show, film or any feature for entertainment only. A majority of television shows and programs have a lot of essential lessons that we can adopt and apply to fit circumstances in our lives. The situation is not different in “Halloween Baking Championship” as it displays significant lectures that can positively influence the lives of its viewers. The show which airs on Food Network is about talented bakers who attempt to bake the best Halloween-themed cakes and create Halloween-like background decorations in front of a panel of judges. It is currently in its
