Where's the member grapes?
ericstevenson12 October 2016
The last episode made it look like there were going to be a lot of questions answered in this, particularly where the famous member grapes come from. Unfortunately, we don't get to find that out. This still has enough material for a full episode of course. What I really like is how well developed the characters are coming across. We get to see Cartman gain a girlfriend and he actually gains some sincerity. It's strange how Kyle actually wants him to go back to his old ways. It's great to see Butters' girlfriend too and how assertive he has become.

It's weird how they showed, well wieners out, but there was no censorship with this. I guess it's just something you can get away with in cartoons. It's also nice to see Gerald's life take an unexpected turn. We see a few appearances by the guy who was featured in none other than "Make Love, Not Warcraft", one of the show's most beloved episodes! The animation is quite nice in this episode, particularly with the trolls featured in the beginning. It's great to see more buildup. ***1/2

Butters goes MGTOW

Warning: Spoilers
I really like season 20. I think South Park made a mistake to stop after this season to tell a story over the course of a season.

Step by step, all the episodes are neatly fitting into each other. This one even goes back to last season, when Butter was asked to date a Canadian. Turns out he was still with her, but also fell victim to the girls "revenge" in the previous episode.

Butters has some very valid points here: Why is it always the right of one gender to HAVE to prove something or to apologize or things?

For me, this is more current than ever, even 5 years later. We do have gender wars of sorts and more and more men opt not to get married anymore or simply have had enough of "snakes in the grass". Butters becomes my personal hero here (and I find him adorable since long ago).

I also really, really love Heidi and Eric being a couple. Heidi is the deepest character since Wendy and I really think it's a shame that Cartman will go back to his old ways after this season. I would have liked to see him change for real and be with Heidi and then maybe he could have changed again if they had broken up (but not for the reasons they do in season 21).

Also, nice to see Kenny actually still seems to be on the show, I really don't understand why they barely use him anymore (although he "just" gets to walk in the parade).

Wiener's out, don't be an Uncle Kyle!
