- The Secretary of Defense wants NCIS to locate the brother of a Naval Lieutenant who needs a bone marrow transplant. Gibbs tries to find him but there is no trace of him. DiNozzo and McGee go to his place and find a lot of cash and several passports with different names on it. They discover the money is counterfeit. That's when Fornell shows up and tells them the FBI and Secret Service have been trying to find the counterfeiter and the brother worked for them and decided to be an informant when his friend was killed. Fornell arranges for them to meet him so they can draw his blood to test if he's a viable match. But when they get there, they find the agent who was with him dead and the brother is not there. So as they try to find him, Gibbs asks Bishop who is in Oklahoma to figure out her situation with her husband, to see if she can find a viable donor. She finds one, an Army man who is serving a life sentence in Leavenworth. She goes to see him and he agrees on the condition that they help him get released.
