It's been nearly 20 years since Gabrielle Solis ogled her teenage gardener, John Rowland, in the 2004 premiere of ABC's hit dramedy "Desperate Housewives." But on Friday night, it was like no time at all had passed when Eva Longoria and Jesse Metcalfe reunited on the red carpet for the premiere of her directorial debut, "Flamin' Hot." The former costars greeted each other like old friends and gamely posed for a series of nostalgic photos.
Longoria and Metcalfe smiled, laughed, and even held hands during their red carpet reunion. The sweet snaps are a reminder that even though the former costars often go long stretches without seeing one another, they always show up for each other when it matters the most. For instance, when Metcalfe appeared on "Dancing With the Stars" in 2020, Longoria was quick to support her pal.
"She's always been a very supportive and loving friend," Metcalfe told Hello! at the time.

Within minutes, the McMurrays cemented a place in our hearts, and hopefully, we'll be watching them for several seasons.
During Ride Season 1 Episode 1, the McMurrays banded together to try and save the family ranch.
They also showed that family wasn't always just by blood, and sometimes you were blessed to find another family.
Many long-running family dramas have ended recently, including This Is Us, Good Witch, and Chesapeake Shores. Ride elevates the family loyalty from Chesapeake Shores and adds sizzling chemistry from the two leads.
The multi-talented cast adds to the magic of the series, particularly the McMurray family. Nancy Travis is a well-respected actress known for many projects, especially ABC's Last Man standing. She plays the matriarch, Isobel McMurray.
Tiera Skovbye, who portrays Missy McMurray, is most well-known for playing Grace Knight in the Canadian medical series Nurses and Polly Cooper on Riverdale.

At one time, Hallmark Channel had several original scripted series on its roster. Does The Way Home? have a better chance of being renewed for a second season, or could it still be cancelled? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.

Stephen Huzar is a busy man.
He's been in many Hallmark productions, including Chesapeake Shores and various movies, and on Sunday, December 4, you can catch him in Undercover Holiday as a bodyguard playing boyfriend to pop star Jaylen (Noémi González)
We caught up with Stephen before the holidays to talk about Undercover Holiday and being an incredibly busy working actor.
Stephen joined Chesapeake Shores late in its run, but he said working on it was like a dream. At the time we spoke, he was with family and catching up on the series with his mother and sister in Saskatchewan.
He's close to his family and spends as much time with them as possible. He's on the road a lot, so making time for his loved ones keeps him grounded in a crazy industry.
Stephen didn't aim for an acting career. He got a business degree and worked in finance...

‘Tis the season for Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, and Netflix.
The two basic-cable channels and the streaming giant notoriously go in on made-for-tv holiday movies, and this yuletide time will be no exception. But just how crucial to their respective (and very different) businesses is this type of programming, this time of year?
For Hallmark Channel, as is the case for its namesake greeting-card business, December is truly a time to be merry. This year’s “Countdown to Christmas” will premiere 31 new holiday films on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Hallmark Channel’s primetime viewership in the fourth quarter of 2021 was 54 percent higher than in Q3, 62 percent higher than Q2, and 27 percent higher than Q1, according to Nielsen data. The first quarter comes closest to the last for a few reasons: 1) Christmas-movie catch-up viewing, and 2) Another programming stunt: “New Year New Movies!”

Exclusive: Treat Williams is set for a key role in Feud: Capote’s Women, the second installment of FX’s anthology series from Ryan Murphy and Plan B.
An adaptation of Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, the miniseries is set in the 1970s and ends with Truman Capote’s death in 1984. It chronicles the tale of the famous wunderkind author as he stabs several of his female friends — whom he called his “swans” — in the back by publishing a roman à clef short story called “La Côte Basque 1965” in Esquire in 1975. The piece was intended to be a chapter in Capote’s infamous unfinished novel Answered Prayers, his follow-up to the blockbuster In Cold Blood.
Williams plays former CBS head and media tycoon Bill Paley.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chesapeake Shores series finale “All or Nothing at All.”] Chesapeake Shores has fittingly gone out on a happy note, as we expected from a Hallmark series. A quick recap of where the finale left everyone: Mick (Treat Williams) and Megan (Barbara Niven) got married. Abby (Meghan Ory) and Evan (Robert Buckley) got engaged. Jess (Laci J. Mailey) told David (Carlo Marks) she’s pregnant. Bree (Emilie Ullerup) and Luke (Stephen Huszar) ended up together, though he did almost leave town. Kevin (Brendan Penny) and Sarah (Jessica Sipos) brought their baby, Mick, home, and he began looking at medical schools. And Connor (Andrew Francis) and Margaret (Mariesa Crouse) might have found what they need to win David’s father’s case. Executive producer Phoef Sutton breaks down the finale and teases what would’ve happened next for the O’Briens. You ended perfectly, on the family gathering around the firepit. Was...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 9 “Spring Can Really Hang Up the Most.”] Chesapeake Shores is heading into its series finale with more to celebrate than not. In the penultimate episode, there’s a proposal, a baby is born, and a new business is about to take off. But there’s also some not so great news, with a family reunion still not getting the expected reaction and an O’Brien dream possibly being dashed due to a Marvel movie. Read on for the highlights. A Proposal After picking out a ring, Mick (Treat Williams) tells his sponsor, Ralph (Donald Sales), he’s going to propose to Megan (Barbara Niven). He knows it’s not recommended to get into a new relationship in his first year of recovery, but as he points out, they’ve known each other for over 30 years. This isn’t new. There are several different ways that I analyze TV.
The first is that it's so demanding of attention that I must watch the next episode the moment I get it. Then, after I watch, I either need to write about it immediately or take some time to reflect. And then there are those shows or episodes that leave me without much feeling one way or the other.
This has never been a show that demands urgency in viewing, but that's Ok. However, Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 9 left me relatively empty inside, and that's not Ok.
I'll be the first person to admit that my expectations increase as a series nears its end. There is a lot of story to wrap up before we say goodbye to characters we walked alongside for years.
But in this case, for all of the teases that happy endings are nigh, it feels like we're spinning our wheels.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 8 “I Get a Kick Out of You.”] Until the final moments of the latest Chesapeake Shores, the biggest things in the episode seem to be David (Carlo Marks) trying to find his dad (Malcolm Stewart) a lawyer and Evan (Robert Buckley) getting a surprise family reunion. If there is one thing certain after Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 8, there are still many more stories left to tell with the O'Brien family.
I'm sure the actors are ready to move on, and Hallmark is eager to invite new viewers with upcoming content, but it just doesn't feel like we're heading toward the end.
With the unpleasant taste of Good Witch's cancellation still bitter on my tongue, I hope that the early decision not to renew Chesapeake Shores for another season allowed the writing team to end this story properly.
Let's begin with Kevin and Sarah. They've been together for the better part of the series, but Sarah still hasn't been fully integrated into the family.
Yes, I know it's a topic I can't stop beating to death, but after Sarah took to painting Kevin's toenails to relive some of the magic she felt after her day at the spa with her sisters-in-law,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 7 “It’s Not for Me to Say.”] As executive producer Phoef Sutton told TV Insider, “A lot of stuff that maybe would’ve taken two or three seasons to do, we kind of had to move forward.” And we certainly see that in the seventh episode of Chesapeake Shores‘ final season, with a time jump of six months. Abby (Meghan Ory) panics after Evan (Robert Buckley) comments that it feels like he’s known her forever and she replies, “it kind of sounds like you love me.” Mick (Treat Williams) interrupts the awkward moment that follows, allowing Evan to flee. Abby then asks Kevin (Brendan Penny) for advice, and all he can offer is that they have an open, honest conversation. Aww. Look at the O'Briens, shoring up their happy endings.
Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 7 is filled with good news, and with only three remaining, we should expect nothing less.
I'm sure going to miss this family.
Bree sure has a lot of relationship hangups. She's fortunate to have found love with Luke, who is about as easygoing as it gets.
She mentioned how she hates the term soulmates and celebrating her birthday in any way when they realized that they shared the day of their birth.
I guess we're the same sign. Born on the same day. And hey, maybe we are soulmates.
Luke Permalink: I guess we're the same sign. Born on the same day. And hey, maybe we are soulmates. Added: September 24, 2022
It's sure something to think about! I think most people dislike the term soulmates because it's kind of goofy, and it leaves no wiggle room. If your relationship fails,...

Did the O'Briens manage to bounce back from some very public issues?
On Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 6, Mick was in denial about his addiction, leading him down a very dangerous path.
Meanwhile, Margaret eagerly awaited a decision on whether she passed the bar.
Elsewhere, Bree set out to mend the rift between her and Luke, but she realized that was easier said than done.
How far did she have to go?

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 6 “Straighten Up and Fly Right.”] Mick (Treat Williams) may now be able to say the words “I’m an addict,” but that doesn’t mean that we don’t need to still worry about him. In fact, the latest Chesapeake Shores episode shows the complete opposite. Mick and Megan (Barbara Niven) are doing the best they can with a long-distance relationship, and that means plans (such as a rendezvous in Denver) don’t always work out (she’s sick and can’t fly). But as we see, that may be a good thing because sure, he tells Abby (Meghan Ory) he can always do virtual meetings, but after a week, he still hasn’t found a sponsor. He thinks he can work on the steps on his own for a while, but Ralph (Donald Sales) points ...

Alright!
Chesapeake Shores Season 6 Episode 6 finds many characters facing their fears, allowing them an easier path to sail off into the sunset of happiness.
Let's dig in!
Mick is still in the early stages of his recovery, and he's already fallen back into old habits.
I really like how his story has progressed. Sure, it's happening quickly, but they're covering many bases that addicts recognize.
Mick was reluctant to embrace what Na had to offer. He was still confident that he wasn't the same as the others in the room. But then a small setback proved he's got no control over his addiction.
It seems silly that such a minor setback could be so detrimental, but all it took for Mick was his weekend with Megan falling through before he was unable to control his urge to disappear the pain.
As soon as he told Connor he was going to wash his hands,...
