St. Louis has a little-known nuclear past as a uranium-processing center for the atomic bomb. Government and corporate negligence led to the dumping of Manhattan Project uranium, thorium, and radium, thus contaminating North St. Louis suburbs, specifically in two areas: the communities along Coldwater Creek, where residents have high rates of very rare cancers, birth defects, and various autoimmune disorders; and in Bridgeton, adjacent to the West Lake-Bridgeton landfill, where an uncontrolled subsurface fire has been moving toward an area where the radioactive waste was buried. Just Moms Stl, a group of mothers-turned-advocates, believes their communities are being poisoned and demands that the government either fully remove the waste or permanently relocate residents living nearest the landfill.

The video opens with a close-up shot of a great white shark swimming in a turquoise ocean. But when it zooms out, the camera reveals the bustling coast of a Southern California beach. “You are paddleboarding next to approximately 15 great white sharks,” says a voice. “The sharks are as close as the surf line.” The video continues and the voice you hear remains calm. I’m still stunned by this by the way. This guy sounds like he’s a greeter at a zoo or an amusement park and he’s welcoming people to tell them about what’s going on for the day.

Ricardo Medina, who played the Red Power Ranger in the Power Rangers Wild Force and Deker in Power Rangers Samurai, was originally accused in 2016 for killing his roommate Josh Sutter -- with a sword, no less -- to which Medina claimed he was not involved with. At that time he faced 26 years for murder on the initial charges.
Well, apparently his story has changed, and fear not because our justice system "works," as he has now pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney he will face “one felony count of voluntary manslaughter and admitted an allegation of using a sword in the killing.” In California, one can receive 3, 6, or 11 years if found guilty of this crime, and upon much research I could find no information if early parole is possible. It is reported he will receive 6 years. We have no idea what happened in this situation,...
