Sex & Nudity

  • Absolutely no sexual content whatsoever in this game.
  • Some minor nude demons in the Resurrection Of Evil DLC.

Violence & Gore

  • While the violence in this game does feature blood it isn't graphic and has a cartoony and over the top nature.
  • It's worth stating that the majority of the enemies in this game are aliens or demons so it isn't particularly realistic.
  • When the player shoots an demon/alien there's a brief spurt of brightly coloured extremely fake looking blood. This doesn't look realistic and adds to the arcade feel of the game.
  • Some of the levels in this game feature humanoid zombies. While killing these is more realistic than the demons it still doesn't look particularly realistic and should be fine if your child has played other games in the zombie genre such as The Last of Us or any other Doom game.
  • The violence in this game is surprisingly tame and unrealistic for an eighteen rated game. Overall it's less violent than some of the other entries in the Doom franchise.

Profanity

  • The game does feature some moderate to strong bad language including infrequent uses of the f-word and s-word. This isn't too bad though as it is in the context of the game.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Like the previous games in the Doom series this is a horror game. It features many jumpscares and chase sequences that might scare younger gamers.
  • The demons have a very frightening appearance that will definitely scare younger gamers though if they have ever played another Doom game before it should be fine.
