Quotes

[Sheep Tyrannia runs by, waking Maurizio and Jacob]
Maurizio di Mauro : I dreamt...
Jacob Scribble : What?
Maurizio di Mauro : Nothing. It was just a dream.
-
Jacob Scribble : [in the knight's grip] Maurizio!
Maurizio di Mauro : Jacob!
[to the knight]
Maurizio di Mauro : Hey! Leave my friend alone, you big tin can!
-
[Jacob flies up to where Maurizio is sleeping on his master's bed]
Jacob Scribble : Maurizio! Maurizio, wake up!
[Maurizio does so]
Maurizio di Mauro : Huh? What? Where's my noble horse?
Jacob Scribble : The wizards are up to something!
Maurizio di Mauro : Thanks for telling me. Good night.
[He falls backwards and goes back to sleep]
Jacob Scribble : [wings akimbo] Come on! Duty calls!
Maurizio di Mauro : Tell it to call back in the morning.
[Jacob lifts the covers and sends the cat tumbling off the bed]
Jacob Scribble : Think of your proud Venetian ancestors!
Maurizio di Mauro : Oh, all right.
-
Jacob Scribble : The wizards have cast a spell that makes everyone's worst nightmare come true!
Maurizio di Mauro : We need a riddle!
Auntie Noah : Hmm, let's see... How about... No. M-mm. I can't seem to think of one.
Maurizio di Mauro : But Auntie Noah, you have to!
[He and Jacob exchange glances]
Jacob Scribble : [winking at Maurizio] Hmm. I guess the wizards win, then.
[He takes Maurizio's pocket watch to check it]
Jacob Scribble : Because we only have three hours left.
[He tosses the pocket watch back to Maurizio and dashes off to one side]
Maurizio di Mauro : What? We can't just give up!
Jacob Scribble : [smiling slyly] You heard Auntie Noah, Maurizio. She can't think of a riddle.
[He turns to Auntie Noah]
Jacob Scribble : But, if you could have, what would it have been?
Auntie Noah : Oh, that's easy. "Only he who braves night's dark fear can make the bad dreams disappear".
[Maurizio and Jacob smile and wink at each other]
Auntie Noah : "Great big terrors become little and slight, beneath our hero's shining bright light". Well... Sorry I couldn't think of a riddle.
[She retreats into her shell]
Maurizio di Mauro : [impressed] Nice work, Jacob. You tricked her!
Jacob Scribble : Well, it was for a good cause.
