The holidays can be the most magical time of the year -- but they can also be the most stressful. Lucky for us, Nicole Richie and Michael Strahan are here to help, as Et teams up with JCPenney to make holiday shopping a little bit easier!
The stars celebrated the opening of Jacques Penné, a JCPenney holiday boutique, in New York City's Soho neighborhood last week, and also created special collections for the store.
"A lot of people call JCPenney 'Jacques Penné,' so they took a play on that and created this incredible pop-up," Strahan explained to Et. "You can go online to JacquesPenneJCP.com, and you can do virtual shopping as well. You can spin around the stores, do 360."
"It's all about getting all of your holiday gifts done in one place," Richie added, before showing off her selections for the holiday season. "I picked a cute pair of Vans, a Nike sweatshirt...

If there’s one thing we learned from Vanity Fair’s celebratory cover shoot, it’s that the roll call for Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel really is the stuff dreams are made of.
From Iron Man to Cap, Black Widow to Star-Lord, the Russo Brothers are currently juggling some of the biggest names in comics, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the directing duo can’t have some fun along the way. And though many had assumed that most, if not all of the Infinity War cast members will be returning in time for Avengers 4, now we’re not so sure.
Thanos and his so-called Black Order are a force to be reckoned with, so we can only assume that there will be some casualties in Avengers: Infinity War that will have a knock-on effect on the roster of characters available for Avengers 4. No one lives forever – not even superheroes.

Since making her Broadway debut in Eubie! in 1979, Jenifer Lewis has become a fixture onscreen with roles on A Different World, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Girlfriends and Meet the Browns, as well as starring in films like Jackie’s Back and The Cookout. She’s perhaps best known for playing a string of iconic mothers; her onscreen offspring includes Taraji P. Henson (Not Easily Broken), Angela Bassett (What’s Love Got to Do With It), Whitney Houston (The Preacher’s Wife) and Tupac Shakur (Poetic Justice).
“I was everybody’s mama because I was a born leader,” Lewis boasts to Et. She has no qualms about the mothers she’s played, or even about taking on the roles that some of her colleagues in Hollywood may have viewed as stereotypes.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have learned a thing or two about love during their 21-year marriage.

Located off the coast of County Kerry, Ireland, that rocky, primordial outcrop initially doubled as Ahch-To in J.J. Abrams’ franchise revival, and with Star Wars: The Last Jedi looming large, it won’t be too long before Rian Johnson whisks us back to Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
It’s purportedly the site of the last Jedi Temple, which goes some way to explaining why the great Luke Skywalker has spent so long in exile. But when detailing The Last Jedi‘s Irish shoot in a recent interview with Joe.ie (via ComicBook.com), Mark Hamill admitted that stepping foot on Skellig Michael conjured up a feeling in him that he hadn’t felt since the original Star Wars trilogy.

If there’s one 2018 blockbuster that enjoyed a huge showcase at New York Comic Con, it’s Pacific Rim: Uprising.
Steven S. DeKnight’s super-sized sequel brought the big, big guns thanks to that show-stopping first trailer, one designed to usher in a new generation of Jaeger pilots. Front and center is John Boyega (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Jake Pentecost, son of the apocalypse-canceling Stacker, who suits up alongside Scott Eastwood to fend off a whole new wave of Kaiju nasties. And if Friday’s footage is any indication, that resurgence will include a towering monstrosity that’ll surely register as a category six on the Ppdc’s (Pan Pacific Defense Corps) official spectrum.
But what of Pacific Rim‘s future beyond 2018? We know that a spinoff cartoon series was once considered under Guillermo del Toro’s supervision, but those plans were quietly shelved when the Mexican...

You can go ahead and add John Wick: Chapter 3 to the increasingly crowded 2019 corridor.
Lionsgate has dated the third (and perhaps final?) instalment in the Keanu Reeves-led action series for May 19th, 2019, placing it in close vicinity to Guy Ritchie’s live-action Aladdin and the so-far untitled Avengers 4. Not bad for a hardboiled action series that began life as a low-key, super-stylish revenge thriller.
Indeed, thrusting Chapter 3 into the midst of Hollywood’s pre-summer season is a notable show of confidence from Lionsgate, who will be hoping that the action threequel emulates the success of Chapters 1 ($88 million) and 2 ($171 million). Not only that, but it’ll seemingly deliver a “neat completion” to the Wick saga, after Reeves’ hitman was last seen stumbling out of New York City with countless assassins on his tail. Perhaps Mr. Wick will have the chance to kick back and retire come 2019? Don’t count on it.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: Which remaining “Game of Thrones” character would you mourn the most if they died in Season 8?
Kaitlin Thomas (@thekaitling), TVGuide.com
I’ve always been drawn to the most complicated characters, the conflicted people who aren’t wholly good but not completely beyond redemption either, because flawed characters are more realistic and usually more compelling. Too often I find that true villains lack proper motivation and are simply evil for the sake of being evil, while characters who are inherently good also tend to be incredibly boring (sorry, Jon Snow). All of this is to say then that I would mourn the death of Jaime Lannister...

Much of their conflict appears to stem from Tamra’s experience with her ex-husband (and Sidney’s father) Simon Barney.

“Kingdom,” Byron Balasco’s excellent drama series on Audience Network, came to a stunning close Wednesday night. After confirming a painful loss alluded to the week prior and ending on the bruised and battered body of Alvey Kulina (Frank Grillo), post-fight, fans may be struggling to cope with a devastating ending that encouraged introspection more than it provided easy answers.
“The conclusion of the show is about having done the work,” Jonathan Tucker said in an interview with IndieWire. “We have bled, we have cried, we have laughed, and now it’s about allowing the work to find itself; the magic to find itself; the authenticity to find itself.”

Luke Skywalker himself will now forever be connected to San Diego, California. That's because over the weekend city leaders dedicated a street in honor of actor Mark Hamill. A street is now named after him in Clairemont – the very neighborhood Hamill spent several years of his childhood in the 1960s.
Mark Hamill tweeted out photos of the large event(below), and the unveiling of "Mark Hamill Drive."
Hamill visited his old neighborhood for the street dedication ceremony. Hamill attended Hale Junior High School in Clairemont in the early 1960s, lived with his family in the 5900 block of Castleton Drive at the time. Hamill came from a military family so he moved a lot, Hamill said he went to nine schools in 12 years. But he spent the longest amount of time in San Diego. At the ceremony he said:

Nowadays, sports bras are a de facto part of every woman’s gym bag, a mandatory uniform of anyone looking to shed a few extra pounds or just get those endorphins flowing on the treadmill. But not all that long ago, while of course there were still women who were into athletics, there was no such thing as a sports bra. In fact, it took until 1977 for the first one to hit the mass market, dubbed the “Jockbra” invented by Lisa Lindahl and theater costume designer Polly Smith with the help of Smith’s assistant, Hinda Schreiber. While the original...

Legendary glam/punk photographer Mick Rock is a primary player in music/ rock history, having provided some of the most iconic rock imagery to grace the careers and album covers of artists like Bowie, Blondie, Lou Reed, Queen and Iggy Pop.
Rock captured key moments from classic concerts including that iconic shot of Bowie performing fellatio on Mick Ronson’s guitar during the Ziggy Stardust era. He also designed the album covers of Bowie’s Space Oddity, Lou Reed’s Transformer, Iggy and The Stooges’ Raw Power and directed many of Bowie’s music videos.
Rock’s unruly work Mo was also a lifestyle choice. Integrating hard partying and meditation into his photography/practice by saturating himself in the event he was covering instead of adopting the role of a passive observer, yet Rock provided some outstanding imagery as a result.

Summer is in full swing and the only thing you're in need of is a new casual statement piece that makes you look more together than you feel (#goals). Will Ferrell‘s new movie The House may be a comedy. But from the way the 49-year-old actor describes Mariah Carey‘s failed cameo, there was a lot of drama.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Friday, Ferrell once again dished about music icon’s scrapped appearance in the film — which was cut when she decided she didn’t like the narrative’s direction (it involved her singing one of her songs and then getting shot).
Answering Cohen’s burning questions, Ferrell gave hints as to what went wrong.
Did she show up four hours late?...

You can go ahead and add Stranger Things to the growing list of television shows bound for San Diego Comic-Con.
Rubbing shoulders with Game of Thrones, Westworld, and Marvel’s Defenders ensemble series, Netflix’s sci-fi smash has officially reserved its place on the ticket for Sdcc 2017, and a brief new promo has arrived today to prove it. Truth be told, it teases more of the same, and is in many ways a truncated version of the same season 2 teaser that aired during February’s Super Bowl event. Perhaps that’s for the best, though, lest Netflix spoil any surprises ahead of Comic-Con getting underway in three weeks’ time.
What can we expect from our return trip to Hawkins, Indiana? A more intense and thrilling experience, according to series producer and director Shawn Levy, who has consistently championed the horror elements of season 2, even if the end product leaves some...

You can go ahead and add Joel David Moore to the growing ensemble cast set to underpin James Cameron’s Avatar sequels.
Per Deadline, Moore has reportedly closed a deal with Fox that will see him reprise the role of Norm Spellman for Avatar 2 and, seemingly, its three blockbuster sequels, which recently staked out the Christmas season of 2021, 2024 and 2025. Shooting on Avatar 2 is due to commence sometime next year ahead of its own release on December 18th, 2020, at which point moviegoers will have waited 11 years for the next chapter in Pandora’s history.
That’s an awful long time by anyone’s standards, but James Cameron – undoubtedly the architect behind this most ambitious cinematic expansion – isn’t concerned about the lapse in time between Avatar and its 2020 follow-up. Citing both Terminator and Alien as examples,...

The above heads-up was delivered to me last month from a Showtime rep ahead of my one-on-one phone interview with Twin Peaks co-creator David Lynch, and it hardly came as a surprise. The famously tight-lipped auteur has been shrouding his 18-hour Twin Peaks revival (premiering Sunday at 9/8c) in the kind of secrecy that would prompt a “Chill out, dude!” from even Matt Weiner. On the one hand it's just far too easy, riffing on how "endless" you found the experience of sitting through the film to be. On the other... it's the base level humor of puns that we're talking about here. This ain't precisely elliptical rocket science stuff. You can go low when they go low.
But even worse for this pun-lover is it's not particularly true either, that The Endless feels endless, and so we're stuck somewhere in between. Kind of like the characters in The Endless find themselves! Whoa. If that blew your mind then...

A bit of a genre mashup that brings together the worlds of magic and science fiction, Sleight follows a street magician named Bo (Jacob Latimore), who, after getting mixed up in a dangerous world of crime, realizes that his only way out is through the utilization of his unique abilities.

What is it about this big, dumb movie that gets me every time?
You can go ahead and sheathe your Tweets, we are well aware that 1987’s Over the Top is a flawed piece of cinema. It’s called Over the Top for crying out loud; if ever the writing was on the wall. If you currently sneer at “that movie where Sylvester Stallone armwrestles for custody of his son,” allow me to offer an argument in favor of Over the Top. Look, just read it, ok? Meet me halfway.
While the popular logline for Over the Top is not entirely accurate, it’s unquestionable that it is a silly movie. Truckers getting their faces smacked before armwrestling each other in sweaty diner back...

If you’re wondering where the next Damien Chazelle will come from, look no further than the 2017 Sundance Film Festival short film lineup.
Sundance has a long history of discovering the next generation of acclaimed filmmakers by first championing their short films. Chazelle made his first big splash by winning the 2013 Grand Jury Prize for “Whiplash” (the short). Last year, Jim Cummings won that prize for “Thunder Road,” and he’s back this year with a new short. Also generating a lot of pre-festival buzz is Kristen Stewart, making her writing/directing debut with the short “Come Swim.”
Before the Sundance Film Festival commences on January 19, 2017, here’s a briefing on Cummings’ “The Robbery,” Stewart’s “Come Swim” and eight other buzzworthy shorts (two of which are viewable online).

Of the many films the Tribeca Film Festival shows, one of the biggest categories that often gets overlooked is the shorts category. Shorts are most definitely much harder to make considering their limited screen time and the need to fit a whole story within that time. Taking that into consideration, the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival decided to split up its shorts submissions into various categories, including New York Now shorts program.
This array of shorts all contained some form of New York City within them, whether through history, character, story, or anything in between. There were seven shorts in the program, and they are as follows:
Mildred & The Dying Parlor: Directed by Alex Gayner, starring Zosia Mamet, Jane Krakowski, Steve Buscemi, and Evan Jonigkeit; about a family who runs a dying parlor out of their home until an unexpected visitor shows up. Wannabe: Directed by Matthew Manson, starring Malcolm-Jamal Warner,...
