Had the pleasure of seeing this Short film at one of my local Short Film Festivals. The story is of a test crash dummy that is trying to comprehend and understand his own existence, by keeping records of his aspirations by the face painting he leaves on the air bag of the crashed cars. Writer and Director Yuting Hsueh decided not to use any dialogue and have the whole film's emotions be expressed through Visuals and the score. A gamble that payed of really well. I absolutely loved the use of the face print left after the crash. reminded me of my days in theater and the print was such an amazing reflection of a persona mask, that it just made me smile so much!
The film that only has a run time of around 4 minutes really tackles a lot of issues from loneliness, being excluded and feeling like you are different then other to the final question "What is our purpose". After the film finishes and the credits start to roll you are left reflecting your own thoughts about your own meaning of life for much longer then the 4 minute film.
Really enjoyed this film, the story and the emotional spark that i provides you, to think about after the credits started to roll.
